E46 M3 CS - Interlagos
Discussion
After reading a few threads on here, I feel inspired to add something about one of my cars, an E46 M3 CS.
It is my third car and I bought it on a whim as I have always had a soft spot for the E46 M3 having had a standard car in 2006 as well as a CSL which I had always regretted selling.
Anyway, after speaking to a friend of mine in December 2018, he notified me of a chap selling an IB CS with a cinnamon interior. My son had just been born and the idea was to be sensible and get a more practical car (at the time I also had a Z3M coupe which is still have an a C63 estate which I sold a while back). But for some reason I just couldn’t shake this car out of my mind.
Anyway, the deal was done and I picked it up in Jan 2019 and it’s been sat in storage with the occasional drive to get an MOT as well as the bearing shells done.
I also added a CSL bootlid and had the thing detailed and may start using it in the summer unless someone convinces me to sell it.
Here are some photos:

Hope you like it !

There are a number of blues on the M3 and this is one of the best.
That's a lovely colour combo too.
I've been really enjoying driving mine again, to the extent I'm having to pull myself away from driving it, albeit with less reasons to these days. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying mine at the moment

.Thought I would add a few more photos relating to things that I had done to the car or out and about !
Posing with a McLaren in SW1, no Ulez for me!

About to drop off the wheels to get done at Fa Wheels in West Hampstead, great guys

Wheels - the finish is exceptional and at a very good price - it is worth retaining the silver finish on the original CS / CSL wheels as it compliments the body work in my opinion

Up on stands waiting for the new refurbed wheels to be stuck on

Mucky after a drive showing the CSL bootlid, jury is out on that but will retain it for now

After reading m3cutters for about a week regarding shell replacement, I took the plunge and used Munich Power near Redhill, Jim is one of the best BMW techs around and I have used all the Indys in my 15 years of owning M cars.
The shell replacement showed that the old shells were fine but can be seen as a purely preventative measure given the horror stories you read about. I toyed with APR bolts but decided to stick with OEM as they lasted many thousands of miles before !

Polished up after a paint decontamination
