Shedtastic! - Alfa 147
Discussion
So, at a time when I can’t drive anywhere I decided to add to my fleet. Why not eh?
I picked this up on eBay for £500.
It’s a 2002 Alfa 147 2.0 Twin Spark Lusso that’s covered just 98000 miles from new. This car also came with 11 months MOT.
This car is has the rare nuvola Blue paint which incredibly was £1500 extra when new. It also has heated leather seats which were also an extra.
It’s a tidy car overall. I’ve no real plans for it other than use it.
It’s been a while since I drove a twin spark and it’s incredibly characterful. The old adage remains ‘Fun begins at 3000 rpm’

Last picture taken between my Brera & Mito.

Well pleased with my little addition.

A couple of quick snaps from last night when I popped out to collect Pizza.
I haven’t owned or driven a twin spark engined Alfa in 8-9 years until getting this 147. I forgot completely how much fun they are.
Lots of induction noise, fizzes along at 3000+ rpm.
The ride on the standard 16’’ wheels is superb and I love the directness of the steering.

Looks like a lot of car for £500 - congrats!
Found the ad - looked like the seller didn't do themselves any favours with such a minimal description and hardly any pics....bargain for you!
Absolutely, it was a poor advert. It was a late decision by me to bid for it. I didn't contact the seller so knew nothing about the car but went on gut instinct. I'm glad I did as it's lovely for the money. Found the ad - looked like the seller didn't do themselves any favours with such a minimal description and hardly any pics....bargain for you!

There's virtually no history apart from the last 12 MOT's and only one key. However, it's a straight little thing and drives beautifully. I will be doing the cambelt and water pump as a precaution when possible. I want to find a set of original Alfa mats as it hasn't got any and get some new badges front and rear and do a bit of preventative maintenance on the bodywork and underneath.
Otherwise I just plan to enjoy it.
