Hi,

Not sure where to put this thread, but...

I am in the middle of refreshing my racing car, and am looking for a new, bright blue for it. Basically the brighter the better.

For the past year it's been'Ford Nitrous Blue'

But as it's a 3 stage pearl, I can't get vinyl wrap that colour, and would like to use wrap rather than paint now.

SO...

What other awesome blue's are out there?

So far the contenders are:

Porsche Rivierra (or Mexico)

BMW Yas Marina (maybe not bright enough)

Toyota cyan splash blue (snappy name)

Are there any good ones out there that you can think of?

This is a lovely colour. Looks a bit like Vauxhall Arden Blue but lighter? Seems to be some element of photoshop about it though.

Yeah that's been manipulated to within an inch of it's life so probably looks nothing like the original!

Ideally looking for something OEM so it will be easy to get more the same in the future

Laser blue from Volvo would look pretty cool. Very much personal choice but I much prefer metallic/pearl blues over flat gloss.

As it's vinyl, you're down to what the film manufacturers provide, rather than paint colours.

There's colour charts here for example, https://www.3m.co.uk/3M/en_GB/car-wrapping-uk/wrap...

I'd expect your local car-wrapping shop to have a load of colour samples from their suppliers to hand.

Have a play with http://www.3mskins.com/3mwrapscustomizer/

I bought some mirror shine blue wrap for a bike I had a couple of years back. Very blue and very shiny. Bugger to fit though, ended up taking it off.

Always been a fan of the Audi Kingfisher Blue since seeing it on the Audi A4 B5s, looked brilliant on those.

That is really cool, a very striking blue. It looks much more dramatic than the Lotus paint that shares the same name.
