Had it for 2k miles now and I'm already in love.

Pros:
- Rare and not the usual "german" competition
- Looks great and unassuming
- Comfortable ride, convenient with 4 doors and folding seats!
- Performance. It's rapid. Proven <4 secs to 60
- Handling. So engaging and playful
- Plenty of standard kit

Cons:
- Economy. Averaging 18mpg. However, can hit 30mpg on a long run driving like a nun
- Not configurable - Just 4 options available, eco, normal, dynamic and race. Race turns everything off, opens the exhaust valves and removes torque limitations in 1st and 2nd gear
- Stock tyres (P-Zero Corsa) are terrible in anything other than bone dry and warm. This is easily fixed by moving to MPSP4s
- Infotainment. Poor screen quality and functionality. But at least it has Android Auto. Standard stereo isn't too bad but the Harman Kardon upgrade isn't worth it

Happy to answer any questions.

Very nice!

Would love one of these.

Colour works well, not usually a fan but I like it.

Oh man, these look fantastic, especially in that grey colour, absolutely fab.

Probably the only choice for me if I were to buy a new'ish fast 4-door...and could afford one.

Looks fantastic.

Take my hat off to anyone who buys one of these over the 'sensible' M/AMG alternatives.

Congratulations, good purchase!

3 years of bliss with mine, they do feel so special when you really want to drive her and comfortable when just cruising.,

looks great!
I can never understand why manufacturers make the drivers modes none configurable, I wonder if there is an aftermarket hack?

Will be interesting to see how you get on with it as I would guess there are a lot of people on here looking a getting one sometime, I’m one of them!

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks all, it's been a great car so far.
I took the liberty of fitting a TMC tuning box to it already.

I assessed all options, and for me this was the winner on balance. Did it really need it? Not at all. Was it worth it? When is more power every not worth it!!? Need to get on a rolling road to see what the output is now - feels around an additional 20bhp. A proper ECU tune will be more reliable, however invalidates warranty. I recognise the box does too, however, it can be removed for servicing and warranty work.

It's elevated the performance further so 3rd gear acceleration is now comical whilst increasing flexibility as well as mpg!

Ooh I want one of these badly. One came whistling past me on the motorway one day and I wished I'd been in the M3 rather than my Golf so I could keep up and have a better look at the car. I think I'd like one in the dark blue smile

ETA: Interior pictures please!

Couple of additional pics, including interior.

Carbon mirror caps

The engine bay is nothing interesting these days, but shows how little space is left and why a V8 wasn't possible!

Very nice indeed. Seriously tempted by one of these one day. I had a short drive of one on track at Bedford and it impressed but I imagine it's an even better fast road car. Great colour too, enjoy.

Rapid, rapid cars.

For reference my E55 takes 10.1 100-200 km/h and these do it in 9.0 stock!

Drove 1 at Silverstone last year, think I asked for a test drive at some point and they let me rag 1 round for 20 minutes. Shame they wouldn't let me turn the TC off and was on crap tyres, massive shove in 3rd though I hit 134 mph on the straight.

Enjoy!

Very nice OP. Looks really nice in grey. You won't see many in that colour.

This is on my wish list as my next car.....and would be a keeper for me. I'm a tri coat red man....

That interior shot is lovely. Keep the updates and pictures rolling in. I'm surprised it only does 18mpg though, I though modern cars were supposed to be a bit better than that. That's on par with my '08 M3!

23mpg average for mine which does lots of short journeys. up to 35 mpg on a long run when babying it. It can shut down one bank like of lot of modern engines.

Of course if you are enjoying it then that tumbles but you are having so much fun you don't car anyway smile

Aha! That sounds more like it. All the more reason to get one now... Must. Resist.

On the other hand.....that was a full tank! Oops (pre-lockdown of course).

But the amount of fun doing it vastly outweighs the cost! (please excuse the dust)

You definitely need to get one. 2017 models are now very reasonably priced (mid £30k's). They have lower ride height than >'18MY cars and have been well run-in. The earlier cars don't have folding rear seats though, if that's a deal breaker.

Man up!
