Cheers Mate,
The alloys are actually a cost cutting/safety exercise, its a lot easier to get hold of decent 205/55 r16 tyres than 185 R14s! (which are virtually impossible to find)

Fair enough, then! Not sure about the look myself but I guess its cheaper than having replicas of the originals made in a more modern size.

Its nearly impossible to get alloys for the P6 as well, due in part to an imperial wheel size (5"x5 PCD)
These wheels were originally on a Jeep Grand Cherokee, the only other car in the UK to share the stud pattern (Well apart from SD1 ro rover P5) Below is a photoshop image of the above wheels painted up to look like Period cosmic alloys, a worthwhile little paint job I think.

I used to have one of these - white with the spare ont he boot lid too. Lovely cars. Ours had orginial 70s alloys on it - I can't remember what they were called But would recognise them. They are great cars - I see yours is a S -- better than the auto we had.

Beautiful car, Never seen that particular colour before, any details? I had a sd1 3500se years ago,but have always hankered after a p6 3500s. That photoshop mod to the wheels really does the trick, imho.
