I have owned this Acid Yellow Vee from 2006. Given the low V6 production numbers and the rarity of Acid Yellow ID paint; it wasn’t too difficult to trace some photographic history whilst first registered with Renault UK.

My hope is that fellow GassHeads enjoy these images. The are mostly derived from the 2005 Clio Cup series (including World Series by Renault at Donnington Park) and 2005 Festival of Speed, Goodwood House. I guess there’s a slim chance that some GassHeads may be able to contribute too...

Hi there,

Weirdly I am updating my website at the moment and found a couple of photos of an Acid Yellow V6 in the archive.

Here it is at the 2017 Silverstone Classic, is this yours ?

Regards

Tim

Only time i've ever heard someone refer to the V6 clio as a "safety" car! It still holds the record for the most number of crashes on a press launch, on the original mk1 launch in spain. iirc, out of 9 cars, 7 or were crashed over the course of the 3 day launch event. resulting in some very late nights in the press garage trying to make one good(ish) car out of two or three rather bent ones.......

Lovely car and colour!

What are these like to drive, on or near the limit? Have you had any close calls?

Plenty of urban myths around. ECOTY 2003 had it spot on...

Evo magazine pitched the Clio V6 255 against a Megane Cup in this feature. Vee owners will instantly recognise the broad-beaming smile that John Barker has when he nears the traction limit. No such smiles in the more capable Cup. This is the essence and esoteric nature of the Vee.
