A 981 Boxster S replaced our last MX5, that didn't last long.

And it'll share garage space with our slk55 but they just get under your skin.

It is quite small tbh. Our last one was a mk3 and I don't remember it being quite so tight.

Being a launch edition car it has a few nice extra touches. The seats are great.

Know nothing about the mk4 so looking forward to finding out all over again. Was a big part of the enjoyment of the last car, learning, meeting people, going for drives out, etc.

Very nice. Mrs keeps muttering about getting another NA. Much as we both love them, I do wonder if we should get an ND this time around.

What made you opt for the RF? Really like the RF shape but do you lose any of the 'open topness'?

Only had a short drive last night but you do deffo lose a bit of the wind in the hair experience over a full soft top. Less buffeting though, which is good.

It's a personal thing for use but we prefer a "metal" folding roof. Hence the rf.

Did enjoy changing gear again. You don't realise how much you miss that interaction.

Looking forward to the weekend for a good drive.

Cheers. It looks fantastic. And yes, I very much miss the MX5 gear change as well!

If I was to get an ND that's the exact spec I'd get, looks great.

Thanks folks - feel very happy/lucky again.

Only another short drive last night, but how much have I missed a manual gearbox. Fantastic.

Plus enjoyed driving along, enjoying myself, then looking down and seeing still on the correct side of the law.

Think that's because i'm now at that age where matey in his M4 sitting on my back bumper desperate to overtake, to prove??, can just bugger off and leave me to enjoy my car/drive.

Do need to get a good quality outdoor cover.

I have similar thoughts, its nice to be largely freed of that desire to have to be the fastest, was looking at M4's but just dont need to go that fast.

100% agree. Been there, done that, achieves nothing.

Nice to be coming out the other side...now thinking...for sale, one lightly used SLK55.?? Will see.
