2006 Z4 3.0Si Coupe
Discussion
Have been watching these for a while now, having previously ran one from new back in 2007. It was a great regret of ours that we didnt keep it.
This one appeared on the market here in NI on Saturday, i viewed it on Saturday evening, paid the deposit and picked it up this evening.
Nursed like a baby by its previous owner and a relatively low 78k miles. Discs looks to be upgraded to ventilated and he has one inch spacers on the back wheels.
Organising a set of 19 inch CSLs now for it, ideally this week but they may not arrive until next.
Really chuffed. Drives amazingly well.

Always had a bit of a hankering for one of these.
I had a E46 330 M Sport manual and found it a bit lazy (long you'd you'd expect a lime munching saloon to be) - I assume these are a little more lively?
Edit: After a quick bit of Googling, the diff ratio in these is a lot shorter than a E46 so yes, I imagine it is quite lively!

Yes, i've an e90 330i (pic in profile), which is as you say quite lazy and more of a mile muncher.I had a E46 330 M Sport manual and found it a bit lazy (long you'd you'd expect a lime munching saloon to be) - I assume these are a little more lively?

These are really good by comparison. Little Sport button helps sharpen up throttle response too when you want a bit of fun.

Another +1 for a Z4 Coupe, I'd prefer a more bold colour but it does look clean as is!
Yes, this one came up locally here in NI at the right price, right condition - and an auto (which my wife needs). I like the Silver as it brings out the styling lines in the car. Would have happily have had Montego Blue or Phoenix yellow had one come up. Black would be my least favourite in them as it doesnt bring out the styling lines at all.rowley birkin said:
Very nice OP, these are amazing value at the moment.
Yes they are. I think they can only go one way. I think this one IMHO was priced at the lower end of what he could have asked for it given the mileage and condition.I was planning on spending more and going for something like a late model M3 v8 or an early M2 but theres a lot of price turbulence up there and these seem a good buy with little or no risk (and much less outlay).
Lovely car OP - enjoy!
I always loved the styling of the Coupe and finally bought my 1st one in 2014. I had an E46 325ti Compact as a daily and as good as it was the Z4 Coupe always felt so much more special.
I stupidly agreed to sell it in 2016 and regretted it immediately, so collected another 2 days after it went!
Just over a year ago my daily became an E90 330i with the same engine as the Z4, but it never felt anything like as special as the Z4 so with over 30 bhp less an E46 330Ci would never feel as exciting.
Then the inevitable happened and last December I decided to treat myself to a Z4M Coupe as an early Christmas present - as you do!
As has already been said z4forum is a very useful resource for these cars.
Anyway here is a gratuitous photo of the Coupe I bought in 2016 and sold in February.

Funnily i've always had a hankering for a 325ti also but very very rare here in NI. I'd various 330Cis over the years - another car i should have kept!I always loved the styling of the Coupe and finally bought my 1st one in 2014. I love the Z4M. Theres still some about at relatively reasonable money too
That’s lovely. CSL’s look great in them, done to death but there’s a reason.
I think these have aged bloody well. Chap at work had a grey one with red leather for a while which was lovely; looked tiny parked next to modern Corsa’s etc.
If I had room, I’d love a convertible as a third car. They’re pretty cheap these days and represent good value for money. I think the coupe is better looking but I quite fancy a drop top at some point.

Lol. Yes, CSLs just work so well on some models its hard to ignore.I think these have aged bloody well. Chap at work had a grey one with red leather for a while which was lovely; looked tiny parked next to modern Corsa’s etc.

Grey with red would look superb. They're so low too.
I wouldnt have been adverse to the right convertible. We'd a Boxster a few years back, and i've had various MX5s etc over the years.

Sorry guys, after that I just couldn't resist adding a photo of my current M Coupe in Silver Grey with red interior and CSL replicas sitting on H & R coil-overs! Grey with red would look superb. They're so low too.
I met up with some local Z4 owners just over a week ago, including the owner of the Silver Grey 3.0Si Coupe featured in this clip who went from Surrey to Scotland to buy it - largely influenced by the colour scheme! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Exio6QkJJPg

Very nice - that colour combo does work very well. My local BMW dealer had an M3 v8 in Space Grey with red leather and that looked superb also.I met up with some local Z4 owners just over a week ago, including the owner of the Silver Grey 3.0Si Coupe featured in this clip who went from Surrey to Scotland to buy it - largely influenced by the colour scheme! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Exio6QkJJPg
These cars - in auto particularly - rarely come up here in northern ireland, so it was too good an opportunity to walk past to at least go and look at it. I think the silver works very well and brings out the design lines in the car. Wouldnt have been my first choice colour combo but i'm very pleased with it.
Under normal circumstances I'd have had no qualms at all about going to the mainland to get one but i'm reluctant to jump on a plane right now and will be for the forseeable future.
