The dogmobile shed 02 mondeo estate

I'm back with another shed....
At the start of the pandemic it was announced at work that all staff who weren't absolutely essential would be furloughed, they were going to run on the absolute minimum amount of staff they could. As I was one of the last to join and the least experienced in my department, I was the first to be selected for it.
Instead of taking furlough and sitting around doing nothing I made the decision to jump back into security work and somehow at the same time got involved with transporting rescue animals (only moving them if there was a risk to animals life if they stayed where they were).
I needed something bigger and more comfortable for the miles I was about to start doing....
Ebay to the rescue! I hopped on and found this 15 miles from home. It was on auction but it was already starting to get into silly money. I took a chance and messaged the seller asking if he had a buy it now price in mind and that I could collect at his convenience.

He responded back with "£400 seem fair?" and
a deal was done.
119,000 miles with a folder rammed with receipts, invoices and mot certificates. 2 previous owners on the logbook, the seller being the 2nd who had leased it from a year old until 4 years old then purchased it. He was only selling it because he didn't need a large engine car anymore, he either cycled to work or took his new 1.4 astra. Apart from the scrape to the passenger rear quarter where he'd hit the garden wall and the alloys being tatty (new tyres though) it was near immaculate.

I picked it up and immediately put it to work. A 1,000 mile round trip taking medical supplies and food to a animal sanctuary down south who had run out.

Blacked out the headlights (ill be replacing them soon with a better pair)

Tinted the windows.

Blew the EGR pipe the same day.

Got pulled for the front tints and removed them at the road side. Officer was very friendly and I knew I was pushing my luck there. Gave me some advice and let me on my way.

Fitted the dog guard set up.

Did another 1000 mile round trip removing a dog from Essex and taking to Glasgow.

That's it so far. I plan on doing a couple of cheap easy mods but nothing major. Just maintain and abuse until it dies completely.
