Got my Stealth Grey ST3 in April
Discussion
Got my Stealth Grey ST3 in April 2018, I'm told it was the with last ones into the country but that might be saleman tryin to make me feel special.
It's probably the best all round car i've owned. It's fast enough for public roads without being too fast to drive hard and yes, it can be a bit unrefined with torque steer / wheel spin, but it really gives it a bit of a character rather that just being soulessly fast like so many other cars have become.
I've managed 45MPG on long motorway trips, but it can average <15 on a country road quite easily. The suspension is pretty hard but not as bad as most reviews seem make out (my EP3 Type R was in another league). Biggest downside is probably the lack of an LSD, but aftermarket options are plentiful for this and it's going to be the first thing I do if I keep it out of warranty. Oh, and my rubber door trims fell of at 18 Months but "they all do that, sir".
I'm very curious what the new Mk4 Focus ST is like as it seems to turn everything up a notch, hopefully it hasnt lost that fast Ford character inthe process. If I decide to keep it I'll probably be taking it for a visit to Mountune or Dreamscience for afformentioned LSD and a small(ish) power boost biglaugh
