Hi guys

3 years into RS6 ownership and time to make a change!

The RS6 has been simply brilliant! Owned for nearly 3 years and in that time NOTHING has gone wrong with it - literally nothing. I bought it with 90K miles on the clock and it had had the pesky oil seal issue dealt with before my purchase.
Since then, I've just serviced it a couple of times and changed the tyres

Easily the quickest car I've owned as it had been remapped from 580 HP to 690HP and a huge dollop of torque. Im fairly used to quick cars - having owned a CL600 W216 before (absolute nightmare in terms of reliability - new ECU anyone!!!!) and a E60 and E39 M5s - but the RS6 just blows everything into the weeds.

The torque from the turbo V10 and the grip from the quattro is outstanding.

So why the change? Well it is getting a bit long in the tooth now - just ticked over 116K miles and it needs a two new tyres and a major service coming up. Plus I am getting a bit bored - it is so good, so clinical but it lacks a bit of wow!

So....whats next..... bear in mind I have 2 kids - 8 and 4 years old - so needs to be sort of "practical"

A Maserati Quattroporte of course!!!

Its a 4.7 V8 S model - facelift with the much better ZF gearbox and the engine from a Ferrari F430!

Pics are from the dealer - will get some more when it gets home!

Love the outside styling - especially from the rear! Amazing Italian proportions

Interior is pretty special too!!

And then the business end!!!

Can't wait to pick it up AND its only got 37K miles on the clock.

Currently at the dealers having some dentless removal and the rear bumper repainted.

Its 430 HP so not slow but nowhere near the pace of the RS6 - but Im happy.....must be my age!!!

And the sound.......OMG!!

More to come when I pick it up!!

Love a Maserati. Fantastic choice OP!

I’ve always been sceptical of powerful Audi’s, yes they can be ridiculously quick in a straight line etc but never provide much enjoyment as a drivers car.. also blend in too much for my liking..

The Maserati will definitely have a lot of character that’s for sure, also exclusivity as I haven’t seen a QP on the roads for months..
