Passat CC TDi Turnaround

Hi folks
Yesterday my best mate bout a lightly used merc e class to replace his long owned, FSH Passat cc. I ran him up to the dealer to view the car and they really kicked him on the trade in price.
After a quick conflab around the fact that I’ve not doing much at work currently and he really couldn’t be arsed with selling privately, he turned down the trade in and I wired him the required money So he could pay the nice man from Mercedes in full without the need for a trade in.
The car was pretty grim inside, and he clearly never got
Used to where all four corners were in his 6 years with the car, as every corner has a scuff/ dent. It’s also sans MoT, but in its favour it was cheap and has full service history from VW up until last year where it went to an Indy.
The intention is turn it around and flog it for the most possible, with the ‘profit’ being split 3 ways, 1/3 to him, 1/3 to me and 1/3 in the pot when we are finally allowed a lads night out again.
Today I washed, hoovered and clay-barred the car. Next up is to MoT it and assuming it passes, then I will give it a full service. The air con isn’t working, mate says the garage refused to refill it as it has a leak but he doesn’t know whereabouts, so try to diagnose that (any tips please??!!)
After that I’ll be trying to get as many scuffs and scrapes out as I can. Maybe employ a touch up pen and rattle can to some bits if I can summon up the confidence.
Then It’ll be going up for sale in short order.
