after missing out on it a year ago i got offered it again
Last week so i took the plunge.
To be honest im a bit intimidated by it
Had almost 70k spent on it.
Forged engine, nismo box. And that marmite paintwork
First job is good service, belts etc .
Then to decide if ive got the guts to use it
If so seats and potentially wheels will be changed

Sounds incredible but that airbrushing so so awful.

Maybe get it wrapped? Would look ace in that dark purple metallic you sometimes see.

Are the fog lights air brushed too? Potentially a stunning car under the art work!

That's great, love these and other Jap performance cars of the era. Definitely interested in seeing some more pic's and info's.

Bodykit and stance look great, I really like the colour but not those side graphics needless to say. Or the Skyline text, that B pillar looks like it wants to turn black again.

The wheels look like Volk Racing split rims to me, certainly very good quality wheels, strong and light. I can see why you might want to change them, at least you'll get good amount for those if you sell. I think they could look better if you refurbed them in a different colour, maybe anthracite spokes or something?

I guess you could dial down the boost for starters, if the power seems a bit much, couldn't hurt the reliablity either.

The plan currently is to let rk tuning have a look and see what they think.
Its only been used a handfull of times in about 6 years.
Garaged the whole time.
I'm not going for big power .
Just want reliability.
Havent driven it apart from down my road.
It sounds like an animal of a car

cool! that looks pretty good, the only bit personally I'm not a fan of are the b pillars. I can't tell from the pics but if the airbrushing is to a high standard I'd be inclined to keep it, its part of the cars character.

Whats the full spec? Interested to hear were that 70k has gone!

the seats (from what i can see) and the wheels are very desirable and would be a shame to split it from the car.

The paint would look good on track and at a nice sunny jap show, anywhere else is just too much in my opinion

I agree. Apart from the occasional weekend drive and odd show with my son it wont get used much.
I dont think my knee could handle the clutch
Spec wise it runs into 4 pages of parts for engine and things associated to it.
Lots of greddy , hks, nismo parts.
G25 turbo
K sport brakes
Paint was 10k apparently and is very good. As much im not a fan of the airbrushing its very good.

That's quite cool, will be interesting to see what RK Tuning think and how it ends up running. If it's only been used a handful of times in the past few years it may need quite a bit of tweaking to get it running reliably. How are the tyres, old and hard or still grippy?

Agree on blacking out the B pillar, think that would look good. Next step for me would be the bonnet, either replace with a carbon look one, or wrap the bonnet black or something. Graphics on the side don't seem too attention-grabbing by comparison.

Shame about the airbrushing. The rest of the car is spot on really. Would be great if it was all blue again!

Not sure on power . Possibly upto 600. But thats not my thing . I never bought it for that.
I actually like the bonnet but get what people say.
After selling my lovely mk1 rs mx5 which i promised my 14yr old son . Ive told him this is going to be his
So im reigning in ideas of big wings etc.
If it stays ill tone it down a bit. As when its running it gets enough attention

If the lacquer was done before the airbrushing you might have a chance of removing it?

Well, at least it isnt dull, the airbrushing isnt to my taste either, the "SKYLINE" on the B pillar caught my eye more than the artwork.

And, does it have a Crazy Frog in the back as well ?

Would love to meet the person who spent 10 grand on the airbrush stuff, be they are an interesting character.
