W204 C63 Saloon - SHOULD I DECHROME?
Discussion
My C63 doesn't have an LSD, and to be honest I don't really know what I'm missing as I've never had any issues with getting the power down. Certainly not on public roads anyway.
Saying that, i wouldn't be adverse to having one fitted if the price was right.
I just don't see it as being a make or break issue when looking to buy a C63.

I'm going to buck the trend and say dechrome. But I'd agree with the other posters that the wheels would look better not black and without chrome lips. Gunmetal goes nicely with silver.
I’d agree with that too, but I bloody hate chrome on cars for anything other than exhaust tips.Terzo123 said:

If you don't miss it / need it, that's cool.Saying that, i wouldn't be adverse to having one fitted if the price was right.

For me, being used to previous M cars, 911s, it was a liability when driven briskly without it. The rear tyres are even smaller than an E46 M3 with an LSD. Traction is much improved with a Quaife diff fitted and you can really play with the handling balance. Sublime. There's a good reason why Mercedes sorted it out for the next version.
Derestricting the throttle (so it can open past ~60%) also makes a big difference above 5k. Mine made 517bhp afterwards. That was completely unnecessary but fun nonetheless

Each to their own, personally I would loose the tints, wheels silver and then decide whether to dechrome but everyone's taste is different.
Just replaced my W204 coupe which had a fair bit of chrome with silver OE wheels but non OE calipers in AMG gold which I thought looked good but others may not, now gone the opposite with a 4 series m sport fully dechromed with all the trim gloss black and wheels diamond turned and gloss black.
When you walk away from your car and turn round to look at it and you're happy that's all that matters
