About to purchase insurance for new Chim 4500 - any decent recommendations for brokers who can negotiate decent premiums - 35yrs old and have been driving company cars thus no claims bonus - best I've got yet is £1200!

This may sound weird but I had my best quote from elephant.co.uk. The specialists were concerned I had no experience driving fast cars so I got quotes of upto £2500. Elephant gave me £810 with £550 excess - 34 yrs, full no claims but 6pts in one hit at court, so that should help balance it out.

I know this is a bit late but but have you thought of getting a classic TVR, Classic car insurance is an absolute steal. I`v got 2 classic cars the first one is a tuned up TR7 i told them everything 125bhp £128 next one a BMW 2002 £89 second car is cheaper then i nearly bought a TR8 valued at £4500, they wanted £84 and this is all fully comp with 5000 miles on each car, so your best bet is buy a Ford Anglia (£90) then get a second car for about £130. I asked them for a quote for a M5 or an Alpina over 12 years old, The quote was £220, Let me know if you want the phone number
