Gave the Chim a clean today so thought it'd upload a few pics. It's my first TVR and first V8. I thought my 156GTA sounded good but this is a different level.

400 with half hide biscuit interior, 52 and a bit K with superb history, sleeved exhaust being the only real mod but I am tempted by some shiny
manifolds if truth be told....

I'd been on the look out for one for a while over summer 2020, but it had to be in blue or green with light coloured interior. I was sat at my local cricket club watching a 50over match, the sun was shining, the pints were flowing and I just happened to have a browse of all the usual classified sites when this popped up.
Perfect spec, perfect price so I entered dialogue with the seller. Turns out someone else was ahead of me and already had first dibbs. I tried to get ahead of him but offering a price to buy, not to tyre kick but I was firmly second in the queue! Luckily the other bloke's wife put the anchors on so I was offered 2nd refusal the following day. Drunk when I made the offer and then very hungover when it got accepted!

It feels very special, you can tell it isn't a mass produced run of the mill car. I've hardly driven it since getting it, but every time I do I grin from ear to ear, people stop and talk to you in petrol stations and it's always positive, which is nice.

I know TVRs wont be for everyone, but I love mine.

It's looked after by TVRSSW (cant recommend them enough btw, excellent place), and has just had a 12k service and new fuel lines. It is back down there next month for braided brake lines and silicone coolant hoses.

P.S, can't imagine how bonkers a 500 must be...

Same here... I sold my 4.0 that was Formula Red with a cream leather interior. It was a great car and I sold it about 15 years ago for £12k with about 52k miles on it. I saw it on eBay a few years ago (for several thousand pounds more than I sold it for!) and while it had been enjoyed soon after I sold it, it would seem that in the last few years the owner has done very few miles in it. It's up to date on the MOTs but looks like the chassis might need some attention. I wish I could have kept the car and still keep an eye out for it now.

Lovely car.

To this day I still consider it a treat to see (and hear) one when out and about, and that burble always seems to lift my mood. If I'm in the car, the radio goes off and the window goes down, without fail.

Happy cars.

Thanks for the positive comments!

They really do sound lovely, especially with the sleeved exhaust driving
