Super Sportscar? Audi R8 V10 Manual

In addition to the Range Rover, yesterday, I purchased the car I have dreamt about for the last 8 years, the Audi R8 V10.

Here it is, my Audi R8 V10 Coupe, with gated manual transmission. My first foray into 'supercar' ownership. Drove 300 miles home, loving the way the car feels is an understatement!

























This Rolls Royce Ghost belonging to the seller was amazing to ride in!

The manual gearbox is a new experience for me, as I have had autos for most of my cars, however, the satisfying feeling of the metal clack adds to the experience.

The seller was Russian, I bought my CL from them last year, great people and true petrolheads!

Great car, but sadly you still haven’t actually had your first foray into “supercar” ownership…..because it isn’t one.

Hence why I put the quote marks on the word supercar. Really the only thing that stops it being a indisputable supercar is the Audi badge.

Was being tongue in cheek of course, as I know there is endless debate on the subject. What matters is how it feels to you. Other people’s opinions are of course irrelevant to whether or not it is a Supercar. It is a highly emotive topic in general, not restricted to R8s.

It's rare, it's low, it's wide, it has 2 seats, it's mid-engined, and has 5.2 V10 pushing Over 500bhp.

It's a supercar, despite the badge.
