Happy to answer any questions r.e. daily use etc. if it helps.
I opted for no C&S as everything in the price range that was available with it at the time was either white or red and I wasn't too keen on either colour. If it had been a deal breaker i would have kept looking and I needed the car reasonably quickly. The reviews of C&S seem to suggest that the audio isn't hugely better but i guess it would definitely be an improvement. Faffing about with the equaliser has helped somewhat over the past few weeks too.
Many cars don't have it as anything over the base car pushed them into luxury car tax territory. Which is annoying as the only way to get heated seats is the C+S pack!I opted for no C&S as everything in the price range that was available with it at the time was either white or red and I wasn't too keen on either colour. I keep looking at these but I think would be a bit too thirsty for (before/after covid) 18-20k annual mileage. I much prefer the styling of the facelift but hate the new wheel design. I think the late prefacelift is the sweetspot with the better stereo but old style wheels.

- Fuel consumption is as expected and I’m averaging around 34mpg for now which isn't ideal but isn't ruinous either
For what it is, that seems pretty good - wife's diesel Tiguan (one of the last of the Mk1's but has the mk2 engine and drive train, 4Motion and DSG) does a calculated 38MPG, mostly used for easy-going semi-rural driving.Daughter's 1 litre Ateca, 2WD manual, does mid-40's although she has a steady 20 mile motorway commute. Goes remarkably well too. Her's had heated leather seats as standard.
