Photoshoot (NSFW)
Discussion
Late last week, I received a request from someone asking to use my '72 De Tomaso Pantera for a photoshoot that was to take place yesterday morning for a couple of hours. I had no idea what kind of shoot it was whether it was a video (as it has been used in several music videos) or still photos. When I got to the studio, I met the photographer who was visiting from Ireland, and I asked him what the purpose of the video was. Since it was only going to be used for a couple of hours, I had decided to stay and watch rather than get a ride back home and then have to get a ride back to pick up the car. The photographer told me it was going to be for still photos not video and that the use was for lingerie shots. Glad I decided to stay. He will be sending me all of the pictures once they've been edited, but I snapped a few with my cellphone, so here are a couple of teasers until I get the full shoot's collection.

Looks like it could be a good shoot, proper studio and lighting.
Gonna go against the grain here and say while the model looks hot, the car simply doesn’t need a half naked woman covering it. Kinda max power for my liking, and the car is plenty pretty enough. I guess he did some sans model?
Can’t wait to see the pro shots.

Same, model car shoots seem a bit 2004 Gonna go against the grain here and say while the model looks hot, the car simply doesn’t need a half naked woman covering it. Kinda max power for my liking, and the car is plenty pretty enough. I guess he did some sans model?

I think to be fair, it was a lingerie photoshoot with a car as a prop, not car photoshoot with a model as a prop. carinaman,
Back about 20 years ago, right after I bought the Pantera, I upgraded the brakes which required going from the original 15" Campagnolos to 17" wheels. Our local (to me) Pantera parts specialist, Pantera International Motorwoks (PIM) had these clones made that copied the originals design but made them big enough to fit over the new calipers and give you many more choices in tires. They are, however, not chromed but polished aluminum rims (I believe). My friend's red Pantera, which he bought after driving my a couple of years ago, has the chrome rims, and mine looked so dull parked next to his at a show a couple of weeks ago, that the day before the photo session, I pulled out the Mother's Metal Polish, some rags, my drill, and a foam cone, and got to work on them. They're shinier but far from the shine of chrome. With 335s on the rear wheels, there are virtualy no tires available any longer for 15" rims. Pirelli does a run for vintage sports cars once about every 10 years and they are a fortune. For 17" rims, Michelin, Pirelli, and a number of other manufacturers have regular tires available.

AlfaAlpha,
Thanks for the compliment. For many years of my two decade ownership, I never drove it because it always had some issues that made it a pain in the ass. And in 2013 when I bought my 5.0L Jag XKR, pulleyed and tuned to 600hp, I just couldn't justify putting myself through the constant effort. After sitting for several years, I decided to make it a more driveable, user friendly car, and it underwent a restoration/modification to make it something I could enjoy rather than resent driving. For the last three years since getting it back, I drive it every weekend, and enjoy it, and it runs better than ever, and the sound, oh that sound!
