Rare find this. Not a great advert but it did say one owner and it was local so gave him a call.

He’d literally bought it brand new locally and drove it into his garage on stands and didn't use it other than the first month.

The buying process took a long time. A combination of him being scammed before and the painful parting of a car that he cherished since before his kids or grand kids came along! I did the transfer on Friday but he didn’t do e banking so a long wait over the weekend till he could confirm funds.

Condition is just brand new. Not sure what I’m going to do with it as I wasn’t expecting it to be so good but it’s at the mechanics now (where the pics are taken) getting the belt done (31 years old) and fluids. I’ll take it to the odd show/cars and coffee etc but it won’t do much.

Always loved them since a youth, made my gran buy me what car when I was 11 as it had one on the cover.

Some pics!!

Outstanding.

My Mum had one just like this when I was 18. Loved that car. I bought one in around 2000 but a baby a few months later meant it had to go. Such a scream to drive. This is just wonderful.

That’s beyond wow!!

I had an 89 car - was my first “fast” car. Loved every single mile I did in it!

Keeping an eye on this for updates - well done OP!

What a great find. Make sure you put some miles on it. I owned one back in the late 80's early 90's. Bought as nearly new. Mine was a red T Bar and was a 2nd car but I drove it a lot because it was such fun. Enjoy.

Go on, how many people have gone straight from reading this to the Classifieds / eBay / autotrader / gumtree. To see if there’s a decent one for sale ??

That's amazing. That takes me back. I had a red non-T bar which I loved. G880 LBV I think it was. Enjoy!

What a fantastic thing (and considerably better than money in the bank).

Ha, more than I wanted to pay but less than those crazy corolla twin cam coupes go for.

Firstly congrats and WOW

Secondly - given the fact that its hardly used, does that make you fear 'using' it?
