Peugeot 407 gt coupe v6 petrol, shed ?
Discussion
So,
Needed a car that was ULEZ for occasional commute into central London.
Man maths was applied so a v6 3l coupe ticked the boxes.
1 owner, and such a wonderful person to buy a car from. Stacks of main dealer history, weather's originals In the glove box, i kid you not. Marvelous. Some solid bills in there too. Proper big boy road tax scares people away but that means there are great cars available.
80k miles and drives beautifully. No forecourt shot as had over half a tank in when I picked it up.

One of many.like this.
Had all the parking sensors changed as one failed for example.
Have to say that so far I'm loving it.
And EVERYTHING works. Voice command, power everything, hidden boot button. As I understand it they were built on a separate line and it shows- it is so well screwed together. There are no rattles or squeaks at all which is really impressive. If only they made it more conventional looking...
Nice buy.
Friend worked at Peugeot when they were for sale and wanted to buy one. Different but good looking.
Was tempted too as wanted something to eat up the motorways and heard good things about the comfort, double glazing a bonus.
Recently got a Optima but realised adding both my car taxes results in £500 pounds anyway. Miss the v6 for motorways when in the Kia, still have it though, same design house by an Alfa gtv.
Interesting to see what was done for those bills

It's a bit gopping, but all else seems spot on. How have you not added the first post to the barge thread? The werther's alone would illicit a collective chorus of approval.
Ha- I'm a ludditie and never really post. Will look at how to do it. Thanks for the suggestion. To add to the werthers may i present these. Found in the "other" glovebox
Car has unmarked tan interior, and yes- I have double glazing! That explains how it's so quiet.

Cool cars, always thought these looked great when they were new, still do! Were these pininfarina designed also?
Sadly not but my own 406 wasMonkeyMatt said:

one of the best looking mainstream cars of its time, the replacement was ugly and still is ugly, a lot of car for the money though. I looked at buying one a while ago but ended up with an Alfa GTThe French supplied dash and centre console are fine but the bespoke Italian interior bits, gorgeous as they are, do tend to fall off.
The main body issue is where the rear wing joins the sill. It seems to be spot welded and seam sealed.
The sealant fails, the water gets in and then rust occurs in the seam - despite the panels being exceedingly well galanized.
The 407 coupe was built on a separate line at Peugeot and going on the experiences of the owners, seems to have been assembled extremely well.
