Varible Boost Valve

s there anyone on here half technically minded!!
I'm Going to take part in a Solo at the end of August and was thinking of boosting my boost pressure!
Now, does it conect up to the same Pipe that I've already got my Dump valve and boost gauge connected too? (the one that goes from the inlet manifold to the ecu)
I need to give me a performance boost, any other ideas, I'm sure if I left it in the padock during a race day the mechanics would double the power for me just by turning a screw or two!!!!
