Morning all, thought you might like to see my latest daily
Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo - Automatic - just about to hit 90k
First Alpina I had ever driven, and what great cars! I thought with 19” (Dynamique) wheels - these are upgraded over the standard Alpina wheels, that she would ride hard. But Alpina vastly improved the ride quality over any e90 2 driven and obviously no run flats! It’s a great all rounder - 43mpg so far, good torque levels and revs like a petrol. Love the rarity of these and the “if you know you know” approach with Alpina.
This one has Lux Pac which includes the NAV, but I want to update this which is on the cards. Then I’ll just commute in this for 6 months and assess at a later date as to my plans with the car. Overall she’s very tidy, low ownership and nice Sytner history, but I shall be getting it checked over by BMR soon just to ensure she’s healthy.
I’ve already replaced the wiper blades, tinted the rear (yes I know some will hate that but I think it suits this as the interior in the back is bland, and I wanted the security) New Alpina center caps on way. After the health check, I’ll then decide what else I’ll get done. She needs a thorough machine polish which is on the cards.
