Finally been able to scratch a long standing itch & own & turbo'd 4WD car, always lusted after one since the days of the Evo 5 & Scooby, had to be a daily so after a fair bit of research a 2016 Focus RS was top of the list...
Found this one at a nice little Indy garage & a deal was struck to P/X my Fiesta ST against this, Stealth Grey RS, love the colour, a no cost option, & less common than the popular Nitrous Blue (500+ v 5000+), loads of extras that I didn't have in the ST, shell seats (Recaro CS), reversing camera, it's done a few miles (60K) but good service history & in lovely condition, 19" forged Alloys, & a fairly rare (apparently) sunroof

It also has a couple of mods too....
Airtec Intercooler, AEM intake, Milltek Sportcat downpipe & a Revo stage 2 map, apparently running approx 420-ish bhp, coming from a 180hp Fiesta it's a bit of a culture shock!!! An absolute flying machine
. Drives really well though when driving normally on the 50 mile a day commute to/from work, even getting almost 29mpg on a mix of A road & dual carriageways, enjoying it very much, sport mode is great, track mode is pretty good fun too, hardens up the suspension & loads more pops & bangs on gearchanges if you want them, haven't tried Drift or launch modes yet ha ha.
Only been doing a few cosmetic mods, it's so well sorted already for handling/power I'm not going to touch anything else, just some covers to tidy up the engine bay & a few different style badges to make it stand out from the crowd a little

Out & about on Sunday with a mate who's great with a camera/drone

Lovely cars. I had one for a couple of years (Mountuned) and only got rid to get my dream 18 Mustang GT, which I then got rid of to go back to 4wd turbocharged, in my GR Yaris. The only downside to the Focus was the oil-tanker like turning circle. That aside, I don't recall any time where I thought it wasn't fast enough or capable enough - and it was certainly more practical than the Yaris.
Enjoy it. Stay on top of the servicing. Keep it on the Michelins. You'll have loads of fun.

Thanks Nexus, will do
I must admit that a GR was top of the list but budget just couldn't be stretched to one unfortunately, they're holding their money so well. I don't need the space of the RS particularly, but I don't think I'll miss not having a GR, loving the Focus, & yes, that turning circle!!!
Hopefully the RS will hold it's money for a while, I intend to keep hold of it for a good long while as long as fuel prices don't go too mad!!

Hope you enjoy it!
I still love mine having bought it new 5+ years ago. There's a really good members community online if you have any technical questions.
Make sure it's had the recall done (it should have) and make sure you get it serviced at a good specialist. I take mine now to FJRS in Brentwood (Mountune), cheaper than Ford and much better level of service / expertise!

Thanks for the kind comments guys, much appreciated
It's good to see owners keeping them for a good number of years too, exactly what I plan to do (fingers crossed), not hoping for total depreciation proof motoring of course, but with any luck it will hold it's price fairly well for quite a while, even with that lunatic Putin doing his best to de-stabilise everything!
I have a really good local Indy garage who will be looking after it, they're involved in Circuit racing too & know performance cars very well,
The drive to work from Epsom to Horsham via Dorking & some nice A roads has taken on a whole new level now getting used to the 4WD, so much more sure footed & able to carry a lot more speed too without feeling like it's going to end up in a ditch
.
Totally enjoyed the 3 weeks of ownership so far, 28.8 mpg, loads of smiles per mile, & wow, this thing is quick
