New to me 2010 F11 530d
Discussion
Well - growing family and waste line means ive picked up an F11 530d.
Have been running an E90 330i manual for the last 7 years - been brilliant but needed something bigger. Money is tight and always tried to buy a "bargain" - but with the market being so strong on cars at the moment had to just get on with it so to speak.
Anyways shes a 530d 8 Speed auto - 140k miles. Seems to have been well cared for mechanically and bought from what appears to be an honest bloke - 2 baby seats in the back and so on.
Has a fair amount of body work issues which i plan to work on slowly using bits and pieces i from ebay and so on to try and get it back a little better than now. Dent on the rear bumper - side skirt is will scuffed and dent on the bottom of the drivers door to sort out. Needs a bloody good clay bar and polish which im happy to do as into that kind of stuff. Inside not my preferred choice of beige but should clean up ok - again a few bits and bobs to sort out here and there - some sticky trim and so on but nothing currently which looks too expensive. And finally the wheels need a refurb.
Outside of that plan to run it and enjoy it (may get it mapped at some point as heard they are rapid and can increase MPG).
Think ive done well as £6.1k bought it and whilst i would like an m-sport - get the feeling the waft of an SE will be perfect for what i need and at that price it was mostly the 520d, and i wanted to keep a bit of poke in the car for when i fancy a little blast.
Happy Monday all.

Have similar - 535d M Sport. Bought in Oct last year with 125k on the clock although it wears its miles very well
Had a few initial issues that possibly led to previous owner selling - mainly around oil leaks that were relatively straightforward (although not inexpensive), couple of oil union fittings and the rocker cover which had warped (common issue) that is a £400 part
Knocked my faith in it but now running nicely and living up to expectations

Lovely touring; same engine that's in my 730D Have been running an E90 330i manual for the last 7 years - been brilliant but needed something bigger. It's a peach of an engine and like you I've had a nosey at remapping to see what the possibilities are; but that's all I've done so far!
I've also gone for an SE in my F01; preferred the SEs ride over the M Sport ones etc
Looks lovely. Did see a 535d with 167k miles I could have stretched too - was very tempted but chickened out. Whilst not wanting to buy a pile of junk wanted to keep it cheap as the market is inflated and this one was bottom based on wanting the 530. Need to sell on my 330i now and reckon it’ll will have cost me about £2.5k or so to swap which isn’t too bad - assuming nothing major crops up soon.

Looks nice; I do like that wheel design on an F10/F11.
Early ones with those wheels were often demonstrators with lots of options. I can see yours doesn't have chrome trim round the windows; does it have sports seats, pro nav, that sort of thing?
Yes sports seats, anthracite roof, pro nav and upgraded sound system. Wasn’t sold with a great deal of info on the additional specs so looking to see. Also better headlights and so on. All good whilst it works so crossing my fingers! Early ones with those wheels were often demonstrators with lots of options.
