BMW F30 320d Alpine White Journal OEM upgrades
Discussion
I've been lurking a while so thought it was about time I signed up and said hello as well as start documenting some of the modifications I'm doing before I forget what I've done haha!
I bought the car July 2020 with 55k and full BMW service history. Apart from a bit of maintenance I didn’t really do anything to it until recently but have gone to the other extreme in the last few months and fitted all sorts, have to say I really have got a new love for the car now it’s looking more like I want it :-)
I like my cars to look OEM so everything I have done is to make it look a bit more fresh and aggressive but still keep looking factory original. I've gone for full Matte Black accessories as I'm not so keen on the gloss finish.
Before

After

Self installed the Bayern Mods 10.25 Android 10 screen... it only took half an hour and completely transforms sitting outside school waiting for the kids now I can sit watching Youtube lol!
Before:

After install

M-Sport twin exhaust modification. The standard single pea shooter exhaust really does look a bit paltry, much happier now with twin chrome outlets. Simple install, just cut the single exhaust as it comes out of the rear silencer with a guarded angle grinder and then clamp on the new one on, looks much better!

LED's on the instrument cluster dismantled and re-soldered with white ones to change the colour from orange to white (one of my favourite mods, an absolute faff as my soldering skills are not great but got there in the end and love the transformation!)

Genuine absolutely pristine set of 19 inch M-Sport 704m alloys with metallic grey inserts. I picked these up at the bargain price of 750 with a brand new set of Goodyear run flats fitted on the rears and P-Zero's on the fronts. Bought through Gumtree from a chap who was swapping them out from a 2019 330D for some 20 inch Chinese replica monstrosities  Sold the old 700m's on Facebook for 400 so only ended up costing 300 to swap!

M Performance front splitter spoiler and black kidney grills and my local body shop primed and sprayed it matte black for 30 then I self installed

Genuine BMW OEM matte black boot spoiler, removed from a crashed 330d and self installed

Side skirt extension blades, matte black, self installed

Rear M-Performance diffuser, also picked up from EBay, ABS plastic and perfect fit. Primed and painted matte black by local body shop for 30 and I self installed.

Wireless Apple MagSafe wireless fast charger for iPhone 12 Pro wired in via a 10w adaptor under the glovebox

9: Replaced the iDrive wheel with a fresh looking bigger dial

Reverse camera, turned out to be a bit of a faff to get the cable threaded through behind the dash but for 20 off Amazon it’s a direct swap out with the standard handle and the video signals spot on.

Nice new steering wheel fitted from a written off 2020 320d I found being broken on Gumtree. All the interior in my car is mint with a nice matte finish but the steering wheel had quite a shine and a few scratches so I really wanted to swap it out for an 'as new' one. Very happy with it now.

VLAND LED Rear Lights with sequential indicators

Last week was Tuesday at Sytner for an interim service (no advisories thank goodness!) followed by a full day in Nottingham for a machine polish and swirl removal so now shes looking super shiny and pretty much perfect :-)

Brand new genuine leather M Sport gear knob and gaiter as the original had a bit if a shine

Rear half windows tinted to 35%

Most welcome! Do you have a link to the charger at all. I’d like to try this with mine.

Looks good that.
Whilst I like the traditional orange interior lights, I really liked the white illumination on my old M140i.
Thanks mate, yeah was a bit of a faff... I have an LCI centre aircon control too which has white LED's I just need to get coded then all the orange is gone lol!Whilst I like the traditional orange interior lights, I really liked the white illumination on my old M140i.

Hi mate, its just this one paired with this 12v 24w socket. The magnet is strong enough to hold the phone perfectly so its completely wireless :-)

Looks great - considering one of these for Mrs R1 - what's it like on fuel for short trips?
The (alpinweiss?) white looks stunning on there but she wants the RED Coral Leather - any idea how easy it is to do a full interior swap? Is it likely to need coding of airbags and stuff even if all features are the same?
