Mk1 Audi TT Coupe 3.2 manual
Discussion
Having seen and enjoyed the recent thread by another PHer on their TT coupe, I thought I'd share mine
Having first had a ride in a TT, back in June '99 (it was even a RHD!) I've liked this shape TT since then. As for buying one, I decided that I wanted a 3.2 manual.
In Dec '99, we got a new A6 in the family, an Azure Blue/Vanilla leather 2.8q, which was a great combination. As a result, my search concentrated on TTs with the Anis leather. Although I would have preferred Moro Blue, in March '19 I saw this Mauritius one on eBay at a small dealer in Lincs, and went to go and see it.
Test drove the car, agreed a bit of money off as the headlamp washers weren't working and dash had the fuel and pixel issues and drove the car home! Washers are now fine but haven't got around to the dash yet. It's an 05 about to hit 97,000 miles. Bought at 94,500 miles.
I'm not into driving dynamics by any means, so for me the TT is a comfortable little GT car which I take to client meetings or leave at the station. When funds permit I'll get all the wheels refurbished, but the dash is a priority when time allows.
Pic below with its previous sibling.

Cheers!

That's a lovely colour; I had a silver one a few years ago with the DSG 'box and the black 'baseball' interior. I loved (and still do) the interior, it's a neat design and still looks good today. Same with the exterior, it's still a great looking car.
Unfortunately mine had a couple of issues that caused me to pass it on - the engine management light would appear sporadically and cause the car to go in to limp mode (never traced the reason for that); also, if you started it, then stopped it shortly afterwards, when restarting it would only run on 4 or 5 cylinders. I believe this was due to cam timing chain stretch, which is a fairly major job.
Anyway, that apart I really liked the car - hope yours is trouble free and that you enjoy it too.

Thanks all. Yes, trouble free motoring so far, fingers crossed!
Although I have a feeling it might have to be replaced within a year for something more child/child seat friendly!
Highly recommend the Dr Leather wipes, used on the seats and steering wheel - the latter coming up in a nice matte finish without much effort.
