Hi all,

Don’t post much, but thought I’d show my new toy. Always wanted one from my Gran Turismo days. I already love it! Going to keep it running over summer then maybe store it winter time (will see)

I haven't seen one of these for years, it looks fantastic.

As a fellow Clio owner (I have a 200 cup), how does the GTI-R compare to your 182? It must be nice having a surge of torque?

I need to change my name really as I have a clio 172 cup now too! The Pulsar feels a lot more planted and solid and drives so well! I love my Clio 172, but the Pulsar feels so special to drive and the turbo noises are very addictive!

Great cars.

I think mine had very similar wheels to yours.

A long while ago, showing my age lol

I think around year 2000

After a few faults that the dealer fixed, it ran fault free for a year.

Had a bleed valve thingy?

Very quick in it's day.

I remember washing it was a nightmare, the water would run out of the bonnet vents for ages afterwards lol

Great cars, had one back when I was 20.. so some 23 years ago! ouch... hehe

Really, really loved that car... which I could have it back. It could embarrass many a fast car.

I know for a fact that 1 lotus owner sold his car after being beaten by a "fking boy racer"... biggrin

Good luck with yours and keep us up to date..

I used to take my to the guys at Hiteq in Wigan, I was told they were something to do with the Nissan touring car team.. but anyway, they knew what they were doing and worth the 400 mile round trip!

I'm sure I still have a magazine from when they were launched.

If I can find it I'll let you know, and I'll put up a photo of the review.

Always loved these and came so close to buying a white one when I was 20 back in 1997! Wish I had got it now, but it was a big chunk on insurance so I went for an XR2i instead, loved that car as well but not a patch on the Pulsar.

Yours looks like a lovely example, known as an Escort Cosworth slayer back in the day.

haha i've not thought about the cleaning side of things and the bonnet vents! That's going to be a nightmare

I'm just going to look after tit and try keep it as clean as possible - its in really good condition for a 30 year old car.

I've got someone who is selling me a front GTI-R badge.

God I wanted one of those when I passed my test in 98.

Rare as rocking horse poo even then.

Very nice OP.

I think mine might be about 280/90 BHP - it feels definitely more than standard.

I had a Mk2 RS Focus and this feels faster than that!

I will keep you all up to date - no worries!

My dream car. Always wanted one again from gran turismo days!

Looked at a few earlier in the year but haven't got any indoor storage and haven't got the heart to watch it sitting on the drive rotting away.

Probably missed the boat now with the way prices are going!

Enjoy it mate I am really envious

I remember going to a Sunday Service and one of these been parked up at the end of the row. Absolutely no interest in the rest of the supercars but spent an inappropriate amount of timing looking at the Pulsar. Wish I’d have bought one before I went for the Skyline.
