Plan was for me to get the train down to Chandlers Ford from Shropshire tomorrow to pick a new to me car up but rail strike and a very happy coincidence (seller is picking his new to him car up tomorrow a mere 15 miles from where I live) means its being delivered to me tomorrow instead

Will provide updates as when I receive them tomorrow.

Previous cars include V8 Vantage, TVR Tuscan, Saab 9-3 / 9-5 Aero, V70 T5 (manual), Jag S-Type R, Mercedes CL500, GTV 3.0, 986 Boxster S, Westfield Seight, Clio 182 and quite a few more

Current cars are Velar P300 R Dynamic HSE, Alpine A110S

Budget was £15k but new car come in comfortably under that

No, more practical than that, 4 seats

That's a handy rail strike!

Probably wrong, but I'd love to think it might be a Maserati. laugh

Nice selection of cars owned, anything in one of them you mentioned that inspires the new purchase?

Does it have 2.9 litres?

Or are clues not allowed.

Unlikely as they don't seem to have 4 seats!

They are a 2+2? Might not be awfully usable, but they are there.

So a £15K budget and 4 seats, surely a Dacia Sandero

Having just sold the Vantage and Tuscan without incurring any unexpected painful bills decided to have a break from a high risk purchase - think that rules a Maserati out - for now

Seem to have a preference for niche and either larger luxury or decent performace, new one is 2 litre 4 pot

That was considered as was a rather lovely black Jaguar Super V8 in Portfolio spec, apparently one of only 100 made - decision to reduce risk ruled it out - having a Velar fulfils the risk part of the cars we have

That's probably enough for someone familiar with the car... not for me though. I'd say it looks Japanese?

Top marks

RS265 with Cup pack, Ohlins and leather Recaros, seems like a really well looked after car, current owner is a real enthusiast and keeping my fingers crossed that when it arrives its as described, must admit to being slightly apprehensive

Should compliment my other pretty well

Ooh very nice.

No way sharing a headline photo on a site like this would not result in a correct guess wink

Curious, how do think it will compliment the Alpine? Which will you be grabbing the keys for X,Y,Z.

Hope the new car is as super as it looks.
