A slower track car, my 1968 Rover 2000TC
Discussion
I’m based in the US and race with the VSCCA (Vintage Sports Car Club of America).
I’ve done a few mods to help the car be more competitive, designed and fabricated adjustable suspension that’s lower and stiffer. A stiffer anti roll bar plus adjustable Koni Blacks all round.
The engine was bored out to 2200cc and has a Piper fast road cam at present. Handling road holding are much improved, but it still feels like a P6, just at a higher level.
I’m hoping to move back to the UK after many years away and will be bringing the car with me. Would anyone have any suggestions for suitable clubs or track day groups that are classic friendly?
First post here so trying to work out how to post pics.

I know what you mean by feeling like a P6 - my 3500S was very roly-poly on the handling front!
Might your car be eligible for any of the CSCC classes?

I have a sense that early in the year trackdays are quite often used as shakedown/test days for people racing that year, and that the proportion of historic racing means there are quite a few older cars doing that too. If you join a suitable club they might have organised things where a group of classic owners might go to a specific day.
Certainly the time a silver DB5 came past me on a general trackday at Brands has stuck in my memory

I should be able to post photos at last. New at PH pic posting so be kind!
Looks like I can't post from Google photos as embedded photos (Or I'm terminally dim). So please try the links for photos:
(Edit: I was being terminally dim, pics work now!)
At Mt. Equinox Hill climb Vermont last year.

At Spring Springs the VSCCA season opener at Lime Rock Park.

That's fantastic.
Love the suspension brace, so obvious when you see it.
I am perplexed as to why you are moving from Vermont (quiet, low population density, cheap houses, beautiful) to the UK (which you may get 3 of the 4 but the house prices will be wild!) .
Surely it's not just for the cultural aspects.
