Panamera Sport Turismo 4S

So after many years lurking and admiring everyone else's readers cars I thought I will finally post up my own!
After 1.5 years of enjoying a new M340d which was a lovely car that I didnt get quite gel with despite being a good all rounder, I fancied a change into something that had depreciated a bit and felt like more of a quality item and also wanted to move away from diesel due to the unfortunate and largely ridiculous press they are now getting.
I saw a lovely panamera sport turismo Turbo S come up for sale which had unfortunately sold by the time I enquired and was ready to go but that lit a fire inside that this was the car for me, such stunning looks and the Porsche drive that I missed so much after having two 981 GTS's and a 991.1 GTS. I managed to find a car that was the perfect colour combo for me which is Silver and Red, I have an E46 M3 as my garage queen that is this combo and it always makes me think Silver arrows and seems to just work in my eyes.
A visit up to Porsche Tewkesbury didnt disappoint and this lovely 4S E hybrid didnt disappoint on the test drive, other than the noise which I will come back to later...
It is an ex Porsche GB press car and is fairly well optioned (although you can spend £30k on options on a Porsche and still have things missing) which brings me back to sound. This car had the Sports tailpipes but not Sports exhaust and the v6 was so muted I pretty much walked away, until the dealer mentioned it is a retrofit item but £3.5k. I said thanks but no thanks, until they called back and agreed to work a deal where it was fitted for free essentially and tyre/wheel insurance thrown in etc, after thinking about it and dreaming of owning it I said yes and the journey began!
So this being an e-hybrid it is insanely fast, yes the Turbo S I drove is faster but this is more than quick enough for any situation having 560bhp and is actually a very rare 4S e-hybrid of which very few were sold due to it being such a big premium (£15k) over a regular 4 e-hybrid. The spec is quite frankly absurd compared to anything I have owned with electric rear seats, soft close doors, pan roof, ioniser?! The first drive home did not disappoint, this car is just so quick point to point and the 4 wheels steering makes it feel half its actual weight
I have quite a few plans with the car to improve it to my ideal spec, more to come

Thanks! to be honest its much bigger and has taken quite a while to get used to, the width is the main thing it just feels big and it does stick out of most spaces. I just now wait for other people if its tight rather than charging through like I would have in the 340 Summit_Detailing said:

Not so keen on that wheel design in black though as they look tiny visually.

Thanks! and agreed actually, the wheels were body colour from factory and someone has had them painted black. I am tempted to refurb them into Satin Platinum in the SummerNot so keen on that wheel design in black though as they look tiny visually.

First little tweak was something I found on Ebay, My car doesnt have the carbon interior but I wanted to break up the black on the centre console a bit so though this might look nice, please with how it came out as its a genuine Porsche item
I then decided to see what it was like in the back, which actually seems to be even nicer than the front due to the 4 seat option and rear screen!

Couple of small tweaks on the Panamera, the car had the black model designation from factory but chrome Porsche script. This was also available in Gloss black to match and I thought that might look a bit meaner so ordered the genuine badges and fitted. Not a tricky job just long getting all the old glue off

I also noticed a quite deep nail mark on the steering wheel when I got the car and it was also the standard non GT wheel (albeit heated) which means its pretty big and doesnt have pronounced thumb grips. The car handles so well that having such a big and thin steering wheel felt a bit odd, so I set about finding the GT version and came across an absolute bargain on Ebay from a 992 for only £250 almost brand new.

New GT wheel with old Panamera paddles swapped over. Feels 100x better due to much smaller size and leather is as new
I also fitted another 992.2 goody in the form of a metal sport chrono switch surround, so much nicer than the cheap black plastic of standard
And won some more interesting items on Ebay from a breaker car which are to be fitted soon, the Burmester speakers are known for massively improving the Bose systems in 991s and Macans so I took a gamble and assumed the same would be the case for the Panamera

Lovely car OP, that interior is spot on, so much more special feeling than black. Tbh, I'd be very happy if I had something like your previous BMW, let alone that gorgeous Porsche! These are so many times more desirable than the Taycan - I can see why they have tanked on the used market.
That is lovely, congratulations. Fantastic colour combo, I'm a fan of the red interior. When you sit in these things they feel really high quality and ginormous. That is a real bargain for the steering wheel.
Slightly boring question - what sort of MPG are you getting? I know it varies so much with hybrid depending on usage. A friend has a hybrid Cayenne and struggles to get 30 mpg.
