It's very rare, very JDM and very 80s
Discussion
It’s very rare, it’s very JDM, it’s over 40 years old and I’m going to pick it up later this week.
Many years of want, a few months in search and few more in waiting trying all of my patience but it’s finally here in the country. These threads seem more fun if the beans aren’t spilled immediately but I’ll give you a few bits: it’s JDM, it’s from 1983, it bears a very well known name, and there is not a lot of them around, maybe around a dozen in the whole of the UK.
My mate Si is an absolute legend, he'll be taking a day off work and we’ll going in his 3.0 Spec B Legacy with a hired trailer to collect the car. It has arrived to Southampton and we’re in Yorkshire so the plan is to get there after work, a few pints and a night at the premier inns best, then pick up in the morning and quite a few hours doing 50mph on M1 back up north.
Judging by the photos and the auction grading the car is rust and accident free but is slightly tired around the edges with some minor bits of interior missing (the all important factory seats are present though!) and rev counter not working. As soon as it's in my garage the plan is to go over it and see what else it needs doing if any, fix the tachometer, give it a full service with all the fluids and filters, fix the interior bits - I've already sourced some of them from Yahoo Auctions, take it for a spin and see from there.
