Oops, I did it again.... Jaguar content
Discussion
A while ago I was the proud owner of two Jags, which I loved, a P380 F-Type Coupe and a D300Sport F-Pace.

Then Jaguar went mental and I threw my toys out of my pram fearing that dealerships and service possibilities would disappear over here in Germany. I sold the Jags and went full Helmuth, buying myself an 2020 E53 AMG Mercedes. With less than 50,000km on the clock the only thing it had going for it was the engine, seriously, the build quality was really rather s
t, which really surprised me. The interior rattled, a lot (something that drives me up the wall), it scuttled going up our drive, which is admittedly quite steep but mates drive up it every other week in various GT3 Porsches, etc.
The last straw was the glass in the wing mirrors breaking off twice in 3 months after being in a car wash. I complained to Mercedes and despite me telling them I had used the same car wash at least 500 times with 30 or so different cars and never had a problem, they said it was the car wash at fault, not the car. Replacement glass? That'll be 550€, sir.
I have now eaten my humble pie and returned to my beloved Jaguars, albeit with fruitier engines, and in the spirit of the new Jaguar era, bright, girly colours (which I love).
P450 F-Type Cab in Velocity Blue.

P400HSE F-Pace in Firenze Red.

Congratulations, what a lovely pair of Jags and a great colour combo too.
Thanks Pablo, on my old F-Pace I really didn't like the plastic in the interior, it was really cheap and nasty, and there was a lot of it! The newer face lifted one I have now (bought yesterday and collecting it next week) is bloody lovely inside, dare I say it, almost luxury!

Yeah I just checked out the P400 F-Pace on Autotrader and it certainly looks a step up in quality from the 2017 one my folks had. I'll be following your RC's thread with interest, as my wife and I both like the F-Pace and as we're using the 7 seats in our Disco Sport less and less, I think a 3.0 petrol F-Pace would make for a great replacement. Good luck with them both

I have a good friend who works for Jaguar in the UK and I always run the models past him when I'm looking to buy myself a new one (bit of an illness of mine)

He said the 3.0 6 cylinder petrol is the best, well, other than the SVR but I'm not mental, anymore.
The P400e thing, he advised me not to go near as the electric part of the engines have mainly never been charged on previously owned ones meaning the petrol part is under a lot of strain and they tend to become very unreliable at around 80,000 miles upwards.

Pretty sure it's the inline 6 turbo, it's a 2021 P400 R-Dynamic HSE with 400PS. I didn't hear a supercharger and don't look under bonnets.
Bet it goes well! I love the supercharged engine in mine, it's a shame they never put the I6 in the XE or XF to replace it though. 400hp in that chassis would have been a great M340i alternative
Just put a deposit down on a F-Pace SVR - see it next week.
I did put a deposit on a blue one, but the missus said, absolutly no way can you have the blue - Ultra Blue it was - so have resale grey instead
Enjoy - i only do around 6k miles a year now, and with V8's becoming less and less - it simply had to be done. Fuel will be a big change from my 1.5 litre golf
Do love the Jag red.

Just a wee update.
Good.
Being in the Eifel in Germany it's winter tyre time, so I treated the F-Pace to a new set of Borbet alloys shod with Hankook winter tyres. Pleased with them I think they look good.
Not Good.
I needed to put new discs and pads on the front and it turns out my F-Pace has optional 370mm discs, had they been 350mm the choice would have been great, in 370mm I had to buy original Jaguar discs and pads = anyone want to buy one of my Kidneys?

How much were your winter wheels and tyres? Good.

Am I allowed to ask about the significance of the registration number?
Yes, you are
Back in time, ancient history one might say, I got a new Mondeo ST220 as a company car, it had 226PS, so the Reg of that was AW-KK (My Initials) and 226. It's stuck with me ever since, no other reason than that. Mrs Adenauer has her initials and 227, the F-Pace has my initials and 227, and the F-Type has my initials and 229.
It's very cheap over here to do that, only about 13,00€ if the plate is available.
Dynion Araf Uchaf
2,150.00€ complete.
