530d G31 Touring xDrive
Discussion
Well, as I indicated in my other thread, I jumped ship and replaced the 330i with a 530d in Touring flavour.

Obligatory forecourt shot after picking it up:

My first diesel (other than rentals) so had to be really careful to make sure I'm using the correct pump.
Must haves were Driver Assistant Professional, HUD, adaptive suspension, lumbar, heated steering wheel and Adaptive LEDs (if not lasers). This one doesn't have the heated steering wheel and has only the basic LEDs (boo) but that will be taken care of hopefully. It's got a panoramic roof, sensatec dash and various other bits and bobs. And of course, this glorious Aventurine red colour!
Plan is to go for OEM+, much like I did with the 308 GTi and the two 330s I had previously. The first part for this arrived before I even picked the new vehicle up:

The part touch climate console, I think it modernises the interior a bit as the old one is very similar to F-series cars, even though I don't particularly like the touch aspect.
Before:

After:

Next is a heated steering wheel (I'll add the M trim to the bottom spoke as usual), adaptive LEDs or Lasers and I'd like to do something about the piano black trim.

Thank you all!

Nice. I have same now on 75000 miles. Best thing I have done is ditch the 20 inch wheels and run flats. Transforms it.
What did you go for? 19" I presume? W00DY said:
Looks great, really lovely colours. I presume the big black grilles are factory?
Can't say I understand fitting worse climate controls to modernise the interior, but I've certainly done mods for looks alone so I can't really talk.
Black grills are factory-fitted yes. I agree on the climate controls, I'm still on the fence about the touch aspect; having said that, I find that overall the calibration of the hvac system is good and in the F30 and the G20 I never messed with any of the controls (the wife is another story...): heated seats/wheel were set up using the automatic climate rules and even if I have to change the temperature, that's still on a rotary knob. We'll see, I've kept the original module so can revert back to it if need be. Nice car and with a lot of spec. Did you wait for a while to find it? They are great for covering big miles - with adaptive dampers even better I imagine.
I've had a pre-LCI G31 in the UK and now have an LCI - both 30d. Interesting info is that they switched from a single turbo in the pre-LCI B57 to a twin in the LCI version. It does feel slightly more eager in pick up and the MPG is about 10% better overall, I find - MHT too.
Yours has a lot of the spec I wanted but they're very difficult to find all in one, even here in Germany. I specifically wanted non Xdrive too - rare as late as 2023.
