OK having not done a readers car write up before .. where do I start

I guess a custard photo of 500 492 miles in should be a starting point

I've wanted to get into an electric for a while and think the current crop of SUV coupe's are appealing, Capri, G6 Xpeng, EX30 Volvo all ticking the interested box, Even looked cheaper at the e-Vitara & R5/Alpine (a lovely place) to do my current 15 Dual Carriageway commute.
Unfortunately during the new car evaluation stage of buttoning down wants and likes, I realised I like my 2 seat open topped commute and whatever I was looking at would end up sitting on the drive whilst I continue to commute open topped 2 seated.
A little bit of man maths following evaluation of the situation has resulted in a zero mile pre reg Cyberster now inhabiting T6's driveway.

What's it like I here you ask?

Positives ...
Visually .. just look at it biggrin, It's a very nice car, larger and wider than expected but not unwieldy, Even being a Trophy single motor the performance is more than adequate, currently averaging 3.5~4 m/kw, mainly DC commuting at motorway speeds, Handling - grip is awesome as expected with wearing new P-Zeros, the steering & front end is always spot on, but I'm not a driving god and only used it so far for boring urban and commuting on a DC, Inside .. WOW .. what a great place to be, It's just a lovely place to be .. Seats perfect - all the reviewer criticize it's seating position (too high) & fit for taller drivers - well I'm 6' and they know nothing as it's perfect for me. Dash & controls .. as with all new cars it's a technical overload, contrary to reviewers I've not had the driver attention warning activate once despite staring at the lower heat/driving screen .. Really enjoying my new set of wheels smile

Negatives .... the rear - sometimes something is amiss like its under-dampened or over-rebounding, - again I'm not a driving god so not a concern for my driving
Aaaand now the big one- imagine driving the car and wanting ICA intelligent driving, on your commute .... only 9 actions to operate ..... 9 hehe

Fair play to you, looks well in that colour. Think I’ve only ever seen one out and about.
My sister has a MG4 and loves it, only trouble it’s been was needing repairing when she drove it over a low wall.
Interested to see how you get on

I'll watch this with interest, I quite like the look of these.

Not surprised to hear the ergonomics and interface are a bit poor, even legacy manufacturers with decades of experience of human factors and interfaces are struggling not to make cars enraging to use with all this bks.

I expect the Chinese brands to improve very rapidly in that area too.

I have been using an XKR convertible as my daily/commuter for years and exactly as you say I have continued to use it even though a cheaper to run alternative is sitting there offering 1/10th the cost per mile of driving. One of these could be the answer...

I saw one in a dealer forecourt as I was driving past, and it was a genuine wow moment. Really turned my head. Literally, I went back for another look. That's a very rare thing in the last couple of decades, as everything looks so dull and samey these days, and my general interest in cars declines every year. The Cyberster is a great looking car, IMO. Congrats, I wish you much joy with it. I shall follow this thread with interest. It's not a car that fits my life, but I'm very glad it exists and that on has found its way to the PH pages.

I've not seen one yet, there are over 500 of them according to howmanyleft, the majority the AWD! And that data is at least 3 months old.

I didn’t realise these were actually out now. Looks smart in grey. As clarkson said it doesn’t matter what you’re driving when you have a convertible it’s all the same at 70 with the roof down haha.
