Another new vehicle in Dubai
Discussion
Well the AMG went and the Shark 6 has arrived.
It was a better choice for me to be honest, with wanting to go into the dunes (see later on in the post how that went, rookie error) and for putting the kids bikes in etc etc - The long warranty and at the price they are it was a no brainer.
So I had never head of this until moving to Dubai a few months back, test drove one and it was quicker than the previous Raptor I trialled so it now had my interest.
It has a monstrous Chinese 1.5 powerhouse and dual electric motors.
Combined power: 436 hp
Combined torque: 650 Nm
0-100 km/h: 5.7 seconds
Top speed: 160 km/h
So it goes well, is very light on fuel not that it matters, I can charge it on work, so currently just whaft to work on electric and back.
It has a nice spec, air cooled seats, various driving modes, rear step, electric rear door, 3 pin socket in the rear. The BYD app so you can have all the air con, cooled seats on for going out.
Upgrades I have had done
3M tints front, rear, sunstrip
Wrapped in expel self healing PPF in matt
BF Goodrich tyres all round
Black BYD badges to dechrome it
Electric rear shutter fitted
Tow hooks
Then I bought the usual, twin piston pump, tyre deflators, shovel, traction boards (all the gear and no idea approach)
Very impressed with it so far, I have done 3500kms in it.

Interior

Rear cover fitting

The silver on the front bumper, I ordered the black version for it so it will be all black.
Anyway, in my wisdom yesterday, I went a drive out to half desert road to take the kids to see some camels, I had no intention of going off road until I did, so I hadn't let the tyres down, rookie error.
Thankfully this chap helped me out so I wasn't stuck for long at all.
I was saving my dune and desert driving till winter........and now i will wait haha.

I am also planning a Challenger Scat Pack to whip around in at the weekend I think.
