C63 W204 Dolomite Brown Estate
Discussion
Hello. I thought it was about time I did a readers thread on my brown C63 W204.
A facelift estate in Dolomite brown paired with porcelain Designo leather. I believe it to be the only brown C63 of all body styles in the UK and one of three in Europe.
I ve previously owned a pre-facelift W204 estate (older gearbox) along with more recently a W205 wagon. As you'd expect for 80% of driving the W205 is a much better daily (interior, tech), however it simply didn't have the same magic as the W204 - hard to describe if you've not driven one. When the brown one came up, after missing out of it a few years ago, I had my heart set.
The colour changes with the light and on a dull day looks rather plain, however when the sun pops out so does the paint!
The car is mechanically standard and with thanks to Tri-Tec Automotive in Swindon (excellent AMG specialist), has just had all the common maintenance items on these done for piece of mind. This included both rocker cover replacement (one was leaking), cam adjusters replaced (63 motorworks), aux belt & tensions, new injectors (hydrolock worries), front discs & pads, rear springs, two new PS5s.
Plans include Le Mans next year and more of Europe as well as regular car meets in the Midlands. Anyway, here she is!
