When it was mapped the figures were, 144bhp @ wheels / 166 @ fly. 124ftlb @ fly.
With a kerb weight of 850kg (estimated from 865kg stock). Gives 195/tonne
it is rather fast!!
It has the potential for a lot lot more tho, but, the 2" exhasut sytem is holding it back and also i had to limit revs somewhat as at the time i couldnt afford solid lifters (258deg cams are also to mild to take advantage of the bodies and head work). The big valve head on the rig was good for 200bhp. I just need the right cams and compression to get there.
yes a hell of a lot of money for a road/track 106. something that makes me cringe every time i see it!! Hence my pining for an elise, tho in all honesty i do prefer my car to a stock elise, but when it gets to S160/Exige time then its another matter :*( (and if i saved my money i would be there now!!) I shant be moddifying another car like this as it really does spiral!!
Is good fun tho, might be up for sale perhaps soon. Just weighing up the cost of the potential new engine work against actually owning a S160.
200bhp Rallye @ 800kg - 250/tonne does sound tempting!! But RWD! think ill try for both!

Always loved the honesty of Rallyes, what were they thinking with the 206GTi? ![]()
Lovely car, must go some with those mods
yeah me too.... I jusrt think this is the sort of spec the cars should be standard... not warranty friendly shopping carts.... what sort of money has been spent on the car and what is it worth now after all the mods ?
