That would be so much fun at the traffic lights with a nova or corsa next to you.

Even more so with a Ferrari 360 or Lambo Gallardo! How on earth does the canvas stay on? Your 1/4 mile terminal speed must be phenomenal!

Is it rear-engined? Was it built specifically for the strip or is it juist a happy accident that it's ended up being completely bonkers? biggrin What's your best time?

Lol. Glad you like it.
It started out as a rally jeep back in the late 70s with a lotus cortina engine. It wasnt very quick because it never had much tourqe so the owner/builder put a rover v8 in it.
I have had a best of 10.7 and 124mph on the quater mile, But on my last run when i blew my head gasket i ran the last half on 4 cyl and ran a 10.9 @ 114mph so think it would of been a 10.2 or 10.3 otherwise.
And the engine is in the front too biggrin And i have just progressed in to dragracing. Im looking to run a 9.5 if possibleand the terminal speed will be 140+mph. Ill try to get some more photos up when i get a little more time.

If that was mine I would have no self control; I would have to launch it like that from every set of traffic lights I came to!
