Normally I work on the assumption that if I haven't got anyting nice to say I shouldn't say anything at all but you did ask for comments so I will reply.

I really don't like it, definatly not my cup of tea but if you like it then fair play to you as I can appreciate that alot of time and money has gone into it.

For your next car chuck money at the mechanics/suspension as opposed to the looks of the car.

Wasn't the Quiksilver the same as a GTi but without the insurance killing power output?

Surely money spent on a stiffer setup and big front brakes would have yielded more fun?

Quicksilver in Ireland was 1.4 8v so I can only assume this is the same. Either way, if it's as the profile picture, my eyes have just been dangerously assaulted.

Why did you do all that to it? Do you seriously think it looks better?

It must have cost you a fortune and it doesn't really look 'different' because there's loads of other 106s with crap bodykits aswell.

I'm just curious as to the mentality really.

I saw a Saxo once that had been converted to a central driving position with custom everything. it had about £25k spent on it. Why not just buy a Porsche which is better to drive/buy/look at/pull with/sell on/live with/service/repair/anything?

Oh my word - I hope the insurance pay out, looks like a nasty accident you had there - oh, you meant to make it look like that....

A genuine question though - why?? With all the money you spent on it, you could have got
a.) A better car and
b.) Afforded the insurance on the better car because the mods must push up the premium quite a lot.

Better = quicker, more stylish, better handling etc

Sorry, the new bodykit doesn't at all flow with the lines of the car. I happened to like the Quicksilver and GTi with its subtle styling, but subtle it is not. Sorry!
