BMW 330Ci Sport

Hi all, Ive just signed up and wanted to introduce myself and my car.
Here is my 2003/03 BMW 330Ci Sport In Black Sapphire. It came with a few options which include:
Black Leather, Xenon Lights, Heated Seats, Harman Kardon Sound System, CD Changer.
Also has the Sports kit which adds the Bumpers, Sideskirts, 18" Wheels, Lip Spoler, Lowered Suspension, Electric Sports Seats, Steering Wheel, Gearknob, Door Sills and probably a few other things that ive forgotten.

Ive had it since May and have really enjoyed having it so far. What do you all think?

My views are, it is quick, comfortable and not much worse economy wise than a 320 or 325 (I believe the manual box helps here).
I think that it still looks modern, especially with the sports kit which I think is a must, not only for looks but it brings with it the electric sports seats and the M steering wheel, both of which are fantastic compared with the SE items in my previous car.
In terms of practical usage, its acctually better (in some ways) than my old E46 saloon, It seats 4 comfortably, the seats fold (other car did'nt) which means I once got a mountain bike in the car.
My only gripes are that the clutch can be a bit of a pain due to something called a CDV, which can cause it to be quite hard to pull off cleanly, although the manual box is great when on country lanes etc. I also find the ride a bit harsh on uneven roads (alot of these in the UK), but I have been used to an E46 SE with larger profile tyres.
Overall though, so far nothing has gone wrong so has been totally reliable, its an all round great car which feels quite sporty whilst being a good motorway cruiser and the MPG isnt too bad if you dont drive full pelt everywhere!

Thanks for the feedback, have only driven a 320d Tourer (an ES...but with Msport suspension, dont ask why, it was a lease car and a wierd spec) and was amazed at just how well it drove. by all rights a nice straight 6, coupe body and all the toys will make it even better.
Probably not what you want, but prices are on the way down now, and as such one of these at £7-8k in about 6 months time will be a pretty good package.
also I have heard that that CDV can be removed and replaced with a machined out part to remove the restriction
should be a good upgrade from my current diesel hatchback (which to all rights has been a good car for it's purpose of cheap insurance)

Yep will be a huge step up from your 306, youll love the extra power but probably not the running costs.
You are right about the prices, definitely on the way down. If you haggle there are deals to be had, I got mine back in May within the budget you mention, im sure it has lost money and will continue to do so, but im really happy with it so it will be staying for a few years.

Does anyone know if there is any way to change this?

This drives me mad, I keep leaving them open! I dont understand why they have done this, they also wont close with "one touch" like the normal windows. I guess its due to children getting fingers caught etc?Does anyone know if there is any way to change this?

The dealer can't set it so that they close on the key, but it can be set so that they dont open with the key.

I'm torn between one with an ESS charger and an Alpina B3 if I end up getting something of this type next...
Either way, I think it's the nicest looking saloon/coupe out there, the E46 in M-sport kit... solid, sharp, restrained looks...
The only issue I have with the entire range is the myriad of options makes it damn hard to find the ones you want, Autotrader and PH classifieds just are not up to the task of easily finding specific options
