My Mk3 Ibiza Cupra 1.8T
Discussion
I have been lurking around here for a while now so I think it's about time I posted a few pictures of my car.
I bought the car two years ago and it was completely standard at the time. Since then it has had a few performance orientated modifications. I'm not a barry boy so the car has not been blessed with neon windscreen washer jets, amps, limo tints or any of that malarkey. If it doesn't make it go faster, handle better or stop quicker it doesn't go near the car.
This forum has a pretty fearsome reputation so be gentle. Constructive criticism accepted nonetheless.

Spec:
1.8 20 valve Turbo
Forge front mounted intercooler
Forge turbo intake pipe
Forge 007p recirculating dump valve
Blueflame turbo back exhaust, 3" downpipe and 200 cell sports cat
17" Team dynamics 1.2 alloys
Koni sport suspension kit (-35mm)
JR induction kit
Drilled and grooved discs and redstuff pads (not shown in pics)
Having a custom code stage 2 ecu remap on 23rd of february. Hoping to see around 220 bhp.

Thanks for the comments. Makes the blood, sweat and tears worthwhile.
The car may use Volkswagen-Audi group parts but it's still assembled by the Spanish. So many annoying niggles and glitches it's hard to know where to start.
Catch the car on a good day and it still puts a smile on my face though.

Yeah i'm not too sure about the exact power figures for the re-map.
Custom code do give a figure of 200 - 220 bhp for stage 2 but to be honest i'm not all that bothered. It all comes down to the dyno lottery at the end of the day. One set of rollers could show I have 200 bhp and another set could show I have 220.
As long as I can feel it's got a significant amount of extra grunt i'll be happy.

i do like these and they have made my shortlist for a new toy.
Your one certainly looks very yellow rather than faded custard and the white wheels remind me of the previous generation of Ibiza Cupras.
Some good mods on the engine to, although 220HP is optomistic inless you fit a KO3S turbo from eg a Leon Cupra/golf mk4 ani/A3+4 quattro. 200hp is more realistic which is still a very healthy gain over standard and im certainly not knocking that!!

aka kerrly - Funny you should mention the colour. The colour is "onvi yellow" and a lot of people have issues with the paint fading over time. Seems that the paint fades under the laquer so no amount of machine polishing gets it looking any better. No other colour suffers from this just the yellow. Mine looks o.k so far and it regularly gets loads of carlack 68 paint sealer and collinite 476s polish to keep it in good nick.
If you do decide to get one I would go for a black one. I wish I had now. Black ibiza cupra on white compomotives would look nice in my opinion.
I have been toying with the idea of going down the k03s route but have spent nearly 4k on modifying the car in only two years. I need to draw the line somewhere.
Getting rid of the car towards the end of this year. I feel the need for something Japanese with a big wing.

aha , i may just keep tabs of this then if you do decide to sell. Sounds like you have got quite a strict cleaning regime to keep it nice an yellow, i have owned tornado red VWs in the past and they suffer the same , they turn pink the moment you forget to polish them lol.
The other colour i like is the metallic blue. The KO3S conversion can be done using majority of second hand parts, most breakers arent aware that they are desirable or even different to the ones fitted to GTIs etc so you may get lucky an get everything you need for a few hundred quid, then you have to pay for another remap which is where it starts adding up.
Either way. Nice motor
