A very sad day for me...

A 3 tonne steel roll was dropped on my three year restoration project after being prepared for finishing....

I am totally gutted...

That wasn't the Grifo was it? yikes
Is it a complete loss or could it be jigged? Hope you found the bd that was responsible and dropped something nice and heavy on his pride and joy.

Yes it was the Grifo...

I expect there will be a long drawn out discussion over values, loss of a loved one, etc.

Very sad.

I do hope it proves viable to have it rebuilt, it appears to have survived from the A-pillars back ?

Thanks for all your kind words of support. I am always pretty philosophical about things and believe that "good news is never really that good, but bad news is never really that bad".

Oh wow, I'd never seen this resto before. Read your heaven thread first, thinking what a lovely looking project. Was it just the frame that got pounded, or were there any other parts hanging around? Gutted for you, good luck with the ball ache of getting a claim sorted.

Total nightmare buddy!

Hope you get compensated as fully as is possible in the situation - you seem to have taken it well however, so remain philosophical - hopefully you can source another shell and get this back on track.

Oh man totally gutted for you. My stomach literally turned when i saw the picture.

Was asking about it when you posted it in the 'Show us your rear end' thread as hadn't seen you up date your original thread for a while.

Hopefully you can do something with it.

Thanks to all - it is fellow P'Hers that help me remain motivated and positive. I believe that nothing is impossible and I hope that she can be rebuilt and the project continue to the goal of becoming the best Grifo in the world!!

I have to be patient and see what the experts say...and Lawyers!!

I will keep everyone posted.
