Even though it's been in family for two years now, I thought I'd share some photos of my parent's Range Rover Sport, after I gave it a properly good clean!
This included:
1 pressure wash, 2 shampoos, 2 layers of wax applied to the car's exterior and door & boot shuts (one coat after each wash); WD40 applied to engine bay plastics; one layer of wax on the reverse side of the bonnet; chemical cleaned, washed and then waxed alloys (only one coat required); polished and hoovered the interior, plus used Selotape to remove all the dog hairs in the boot; cleaned interior glass, then applied 2 coats of wax; dressed all external black plastics, tyres and interior rubber floor mats.
It took around 12 hours to complete, over 3 days.

The car is presented in Bonatti Grey with a cream leather interior. It has 22" Overfinch "Tiger" alloy wheels and colour coding to the wing mirros, door handles, A & D pillars, side skirts and lower plastics on the front and rear bumpers.
Yesterday, I took a few photographs, to share on PH smile (Photos taken with a Canon IXUS 75.)
By the way, I'm neither a professional valeter or photographer, as I'm sure the experts will agree on! hehe

Nice job Darren! I love these motors, I think when I've finally run my 540i into the ground I'm going to get one of these, it's big, bolshy, British and annoys the lentilists!

So you washed it, waxed it, then washed it again, then waxed it again?

Is that the done thing now in detailing circles? I can't see the need to wash a car immediately after waxing it?

Looks clean though, I do like Rangies!

Thanks guys smile

RE: washing twice, I wanted two coats of wax on the car. I planned to wash the car, then wax it twice. However, the car had to be left outside for a week inbetween Day 1 and Day 2 of cleaning, due to our garages being flooded. So, although the car wasn't used, it wasn't clean enough to apply the 2nd layer of wax.

Very nice. How much for a new tyre on one of them then? I imagine its eye-opening... much like the fuel consumption!

Tyres are around £200 per corner. MPG - usually around 22ish with my Mum's driving. I've had it down to 11 biggrindriving
