It's carbon fibre, just not a very good pic of it

Eugh, I'm not paying to become a member though :/

How much was it? And can you pass on the details of the person you got it off?

Not updated this for a long time, shortly after adding this the car went off the road for an engine rebuild.

The car had been cutting out once warmed up and i'd taken it to a few places for diagnostic checks which came back with nothing. So i eventually decided to take it off the road and get my brothers mate to get the engine apart and look for the cause of the problem. He quickly found that the valve stem seals wre leaking, i deceided that while the head was off i get some work done to it. So i sent my head off to be rebuilt with all new valves, catcam uprated valve springs along with headwork and matched inlet manifolds. Six monthe later the head and inlets were returned to me ! rolleyes

During the time i was waiting for the head and inlets back i collected the following parts :

- PTFE Gaskets

- Oil Catch Tank

- ITG RAB65 Carbon Airbox

- Mocal Oil Cooler

- Odyssey Battery + Cage

- Whiteline Adjustable ARB

After waiting about another 4/5 months the car was back together and ready for the MOT, unfortunately the cambelt snapped on it's way there !

Another few months later (a few more new valves) and a bottom end knock and i decided i'd had enough and began selling parts with the intention of returning it to standard and selling up. I got rid of the Trophy Recaro's, Yozzasport Exhaust, Cage, Carbon Splitter, Harnesses and a couple of Recaro GRP seats and aubframes i'd bought. Unfortunately i had no interest at all in the head, inlets and cams (which owed a fair chunk of money). So i rented a local garage, got the car back and decided me and my brother would do th work ourselves.

Due to work commitemnts it was still very slow progress, eventually we got the engine stripped down and found there was more work then first anticipated. We decided the most cost effective solution was a donor engine, so i bought a Ph1 172 engine which had covered approximately 57k (similar mileage to the car).

Over the next few months we fitted my head, inlets and cams to the bottom end of the donor engine. The engine was refitted along with a Pure Motorsport AC and PAS removal kit, DCi steering rack and uprated engine mounts all round.

Then a few weeks back we got it running (the battery was flat and there's no exhaust on it)

After getting it running i purchased an Oreca Group N Race exhaust system (i won't be running the decat on it though as i already have my sports cat)

Hopefully this weekend we can finish a few bits and pieces off under the bonnet and then start work on the interior smile
