New Track Project!!

Since returning from a Nurburgring trip a couple of weeks ago in the Cerbera i have felt the need for a track toy, i was originally toying with the idea of a mk2 golf and putting in a vr6 but i saw one of these going for a song and couldnt resist!
Its the 2.9 VR6 version, i didnt have the wheels as ive got some here for it. The plan is just to strip it and cage it and see how we get on for now, im sure things will escalate, ie 888s coilovers arbs carbon bits etc.....watch this space!!!

Theres nothing else the cerb needs! It has been pampered for the last 18 months and was pretty well set up when i bought it.
Ive bought this to use around the track so that i dont have to abuse the TVR, much as it was fantastic around the ring and i really enjoyed it, i felt guilty when the 'change gear' bleep sounded! so this is for full thrash no worries entertainment and itll be a little less unnerving in the bends! It sounds different but just as great in my opinion.

also forgot to mention you can save a lot of weight in a corrado stripping it down but the main thing i would do is swap the VR6 lump for a R32 one. not only is the R32 lighter than the vr6 it will prodce very good power about 300bhp with only a remap.
Very unusual choice of car, stack it and bits can be very expensive. But i will be watching your progress closely to see how you get on R32s will need a hell of alot more than a Remap to crack 300bhp im afraid

My mate has one with hi flow cats, non res milltek, CAI, Schrick 268s and a custom remap also once you give it a good brathing exhaust without cat's it tend to realise that last bit.
That little lot amounts to s true 281bhp
So i spent a couple of days doing the easy bits and stripping the car out, all the interior is gone including the dash as of today, sunroof and headlining gone too, just leaving the clocks in. Im going to tidy the wiring over the weekend then i can start on removing the windows to make way for some plastics.
Plans for carbon sunroof, bonnet and doorcards are afoot with cage, buckets and a new wheel, plus an interior paint job when i get there but the sticky stuff VW use on the floor looks horrible to remove!
Anybody need any Corrado bits??!!...

You can't do it in real life to the same extent as it makes you look like an arrogant s
t when you tell someone bluntly they are wrong but its acceptable on a website 
If you do a bit of research I think you will find that VW's 6 cylinder engines are notoriously hard (read expensive) to get good gains n/a.
Which is why everyone goes FI!!
But fair play to your 300bhp exhaust and filter modded cars!
as long as they are happy with how their cars go.Rich, just out of interest how did you get the floorpan looking so clean? do the BMW' have that horrendous tar crap on like VW'? the car is VERY stripped now but that stuff is still there and im a bit hesitant on removing it even though its gotta go, somebody tell me theres an easy way.

Heat gun and a scraper. Once it looks fairly good, a rag and thinners and rub it like feck otherwise the interior paint job will look pants.The main ingredient unfortunatly is elbow grease.
