After seeing the car on ebay and taking the plunge with the £1000 buy it now button, there was no going back, So on saturday, i ventured down to Trowbridge in Wiltshire somewhat nervous yet excited to see what i had just let myself in for.

I have to say, i'm very pleased indeed, the car starts first time, idles perfectly, sounds great thanks to that 6cylinder 2.0 engine even if it is a bit gutless. The sills and the floorpan, windscreen scuttle and surround are all solid. The rear arches are a bit crusty but can be sorted easily enough.

It has a new hood, 6months tax and MOT untill April of next year.

This:

For £1000

Equals this thumbup

My only real plans for it is to lower it a bit as it handles like a boat, not too low mind and stick these on:

7.5x16 rear 7x16 front.

Would be awesome with an M50 conversion. Not sure if the 320i I used to have was a bad one but it wasn't exactly quick.

Yep, the bd robbed me! hehe

Thanks chaps, i'm looking forward to getting the wheels on, should look a million times better with them and some low profiles on.

They might take a bit of cleaning though, they are totaly polished.....

Engine conversion would be great in the future but i dont have the skill to do it and well, it's ok as it is for the time being really.

Lots of nice things about this new purchase:

Which is a nice enough boat for a grand.

But these are stunning, and definately deserve something better to go on. Hell, I'd be happy getting the bus and leaving these in the lounge to admire...... cloud9

Nice. I certainly wouldn't have hesitated for a grand.

Good work.

Looks a good one. I did the same as you last month. Fun cars. Have a look on the E30 Zone if you need any help with it.

It would have been good to have had it during the heat wave but hopefully there is some more summer lurking somewhere!

I am on the zone as well, looks like i'll get the cambelt replaced as well as i have nothing to suggest its been done and its (well tensioners) supposed to be a weak point on the M20.
