I'm gutted. A month after spending a small fortune on a service, I finally get back the "love" when a chap at work leaves the hand brake off his van.

A slow roll into the boot and this is the result. Nothing major, but spoiling my P&J.

Don't fancy increased premiums next year so trying to get him to pay (fingers crossed).

Karl, how South West are you? I know a man who could sort you out for a damn sight less than you would think. He's Basingstoke way.

A lot more South West than that! Cornwall.

I'm waiting to hear from a chap who's well rated. And he had some expensive stuff being repaired when I went in.

Thanks though. beer

i would say £200 to sort that out tops. they would be a pukker job with quality paint and laquer.

surely the white van man can afford that, even if you have to scrape the barrel and pay 50/50, least you get it done

Had a guestimate from a local garage of £120 over the phone. The recommended chap said he'd respray the entire rear bumper, which I'd expect, and guarantees his work for 3 years, quote in the post...

yeah £120 is about right, just depends on how fiddly it is to remove the bumper and, paint it , and refit, your talking a few hours there. but for £120, full bumper resprayed and guaranteed for 3 years id good, id go for it. providing van man will pay.
