Purchase/Finance question

Hi all,

A question regarding the purchase of a Honda Civic, coming towards it's bubble payment.

A family member has had the above car (1.8 v-tec) since it came off demo in late 06. We have owned the car since then, and it has racked up about 27k. The car is the SE model (I think- electric wing mirrors, auto lights and auto windscreen wipers, and double sun roof).

Honda don't have an exact figure yet, but say the car will be around £7.5-8k to purchase.

Are there any comparable cars with similar extras you could get for this price? Would it be worth buying the Honda or cutting the losses on the finance and looking at another car?

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me - similar cars on Autotrader are almost all over £8k.

If it is going ok and you like it I would pay the balloon and hang on to it - you're not going to get anything substantially better for that money
