Hi all, I used to be a member on here a while ago, with a white V6 MR2, but my pc died with all the info attached, so decided to start again with a new user name, to go with my new car.
She is a '92 type R Mazda RX7, with a genuine 29k miles from new. I purchased her from the classified ads in PH, & I must say I am very pleased with her. She is my first rotary, so I have a lot to learn, but the more I looked at her the better she looked, so decided to chance it. Condition is superb, & has a nice list of mods, previous owner spent loads last year, before personal problems forced him to sell. I will update these when I become more familiar with them all.

Here is the only pic I have of her up to now.

I had one for a while, such road presence, and brilliant engine imo.

Its got brilliant handeling, and when it lets go i found it prettys smooth to catch, and ended up doing it at every roundabout, junction, corner etc that was safe to biggrin

A few things to watch:

The door handles are plastic, and it only takes one troll of a friend to snap them. They cost atleast 50 quid each to replace, and are hard to come by. Climbing through the boot of your car to get in isnt nice when everyones looking frown

I personally ran mine with 2 stroke oil + octane booster in the fuel, just a little extra safety for the engine, and it smells soooo nice cool

Get the rev counter to beep atleast once a drive, clears out the exhaust wink I think its around 7.5k

Welcome to RX7 ownership, yours looks very tidy! I've had mine 10 months and still love it, it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Just be carfull in the wet, although if you've owned a V6 MR2 i'm sure you'll be fine.

Really nice example, and as much as I really like the whole car, I can't help but say...

... I prefer the pop-up lights. biggrin

Thanks for the positive comments guys, much appreciated.

Olber, am I right in thinking you have a V6 MR2 as well? Great minds etc etc...

977, I know what you mean about original pop up lights, I like them too, & did think I would return to the original settup, but these have grown on me, I really like them now.

Welcome to rx7 ownership mate. Very nice one you have there mate! Nice solid spec.

The lights you have are the good 'ol ebay specials, not really to my taste as I prefer the stock popups.

You also have it in the best colour wink

I had a bright yellow one of those for about a year and, apart from the fuel consumption, I loved it and still miss it!

NEVER use the cubby in the drivers' door with the lid.
The lids break and are very expensive from Mazda and hard to come by second hand, very fragile.

Don't pull too hard on the interior door handles either, also very fragile.

Great car, have fun! cool

You're going to update us on his personal problems?! eek

smile Very nice car mate, but can I just say that that Honda Type-R Badge looks awful? get a genuine Mazda type r badge if there is one, but please remove that!

Well, his business went tits up. He was a young lad with a family living in a swanky apartment with a huge mortgage & had lots of bills to pay. I felt for him, but I have been there myself in the past & someone else benefitted from my misfortune, I quess karma came back to me!

I agree with you about the badge, I am on the lookout for the correct one don't worry.
